Untamed Auto on Lunt in Schaumburg between Rodenburg and Wright. Good, fast, and cheap. Won't screw you or try to sell you a bunch if crap you don't need. I've been to him a handful of times, and sent several people to him with zero complaints. $3 k repair at the dealer $1 k there. The guys at Foreign Car Clinic did a great job on my repair. I brought them a 2004 BMW M3 with a broken variable valve timing (VANOS) unit. When the unit gave out, multiple bolts broke off into the camshaft. The mechanic at Foreign Car clinic was able to extract the bolts salvage the camshaft. This was a complex repair and it could have cost me a lot more if it wasn't for their skill in fixing the problem.
