Ram service near Norwood Park, IL

I don't know why I chose Schaumburg Automedics to service my car when I first moved to Chicago 20+ years ago, but I am really glad I did. They have kept my various old cars running much longer than I would have expected. I was thinking about junking my car after this last service, but the SA Team did such a fantastic job the car drives better than when it was new (to me). I had several idiot lights on my dash and thought I had no ABS of VSA because the lights were on. The guys working on something else noticed some frayed wires along the firewall from some rodent or something. Now ALL the dashboard lights are off. They also fixed some extra things I didn't ask for and didn't notice till I got home. AAA Stands for quality service. AAA never hung a sign on a shop as good as Schaumburg Automedics. I am so glad I found this shop! They do quality work for a very reasonable price. And their customer service is fantastic. Professional, and accommodating on every level. If you live, or work in the area these guys are where you should be taking your vehicle for service.

Erick, shop supervisor, was easy to work with, his quote was realistic, he stayed on top of the job and kept me informed . . . what he estimated is what I paid . . . he's customer focused and desires to please.

Would not take their opinion on any recommended services. Get a second opinion elsewhere. I brought my car in and was told it was one thing wrong and they would fix the problem. Mind you I told the guy in the beginning “Hey I’m in the process of searching for a new car if this is the minor issue I’ll take care of it. So they take my car in. Next day get a call whatever work they said would take care of was finished but that didn’t solve it. So I’m like ok go ahead fix it! Next day get another call “Hey works finished but it’s still not resolved it’s your transmission but it’s still drivable. So I come in to get my car, pay for the service because I’m tired of the BS. I Drive off the lot my car is still horrible. Engine light is on! Had I have known from the so called diagnostic test and whatever other test that was performed that it was transmission I would’ve gotten a brand new car instead of paying over $1,400 worth of wasting my time. I wouldn’t recommend this place if it was the last on earth. TAKE MY WORD.

Made an appointment for 8 am, when I called at 11:30 am, my car had not yet been looked at. I received a message around 2:30 pm with the inspection results. So 6.5 hours after appointment drop off. Tuffy completed oil change, tire rotation and rear brakes just before closing time at 6 pm. There are individual coupons for each service but a $30 cap is applied on discounts per visit. I may make two or three separate appointments next time so that I can use all the coupons. I had to bring the car back the next day due to a loud exhaust type noise. It turned out that the air filter compartment was not reinstalled properly so minor fix but still resulted in a return visit. I like the team at Tuffy and plan to return but some of the above issues should be improved upon.
