The check engine light in our sons car was on and while we were pretty sure it was due our daughter not putting the gas cap on tightly, we weren't sure. I called McCracken and they said bring it by whenever you have the chance and we'll clear the code. We brought the car in and they cleared the code and ascertained that it most likely was the gas cap. We have had to pay $75 to have this done at the dealer before. McCracken's staff was so nice, kind and helpful. They didn't charge us a dime and sent us on our way. We wouldn't go anywhere else

I had a flat tire a week or so ago, called AAA to have it towed to Tosti's. Chris called me after he had a chance to look at it. It needed to be replaced and the other tires showed dry rot. It was decided that 3 needed to be replaced including the flat. I was quoted an estimate. It was Thursday afternoon, but was told they would try to finish it by the end of the next day (Friday). And they did. I've been a customer there for a few years now. I wouldn't go anywhere else. And the cost was less than the estimate.

I feel the repair was done well on the brakes, haven't had a problem. My biggest complaint is I made an appointment I believe monday for a 8am appointment on Thursday. I arrived on time. When I went to the shop to check on my car around 3:00pm they had not taken it in. They told me they were busy and other cats had came in. I feel my tile slot should have been honored and they should have taken my car in as scheduled. They did not start my car until the following day, and never notified me of this, if I didn't go down to the shop I would not have found out.

The front desk receptionist is very unwelcoming! Shawn was great. I would like to know why I was charged extra after getting alignment. The reason giving was “we have to pay bills and keep the lights on”. I was also given two different quotes when inquiring about rear camber arm change.

My transmission kept running slow in low gear...air bag light was on and it was determined that it was the clock spring in the steering column. Mr Warzycha was professional and friendly. He gave me the finished estimate with no hidden costs. He also showed me the defective parts. I will continue to use him as my mechanic.

I"ve never been to AAMCO for auto service,I've gone to other shops I thought I knew fairly well> I had transmision issues with both my vehicles within a month< along with other vehicle problems.The other shops had different diagnosis for the problems. After much time in the shops ,and substantial cash outlays, the problems persisted to some extent in both vehicles. I went to AAMCO,I had my transmission problems pinpointed very promptly, I discussed other suspension issues,engine isues, that I was having with both vehicles,I told the tech I was very discouraged with the other shops, I wasn't sure of my next move.THe tech told me that he would get to the root of the problems,HE SURE DID! My transmisions were fixed ASAP,and the problems that were so elusive to others,were handily identified and resolved.AAMCO went above and beyond any expectations I had.These guys are the best.They deserve all the credit in the world. I came into this autobody shop because I had always had excellent service. I needed my back light changed and they found that my battery was leaking acid and needed to be changed immediately. I was driving to New Jersey the next day, so I was very grateful that they found this problem and fixed it. Today I was driving home in the snow and my tire light went on. I drove back to them and they checked my tires and put air in them for no charge. I have always received wonderful service from this business and I would highly recommend them.

I just had the clutch repaired on my 1974 MG Midget at Ron's transmission. He took the time to figure out the exact problem, ordered the correct parts and fixed the issue without a full clutch rebuild/replace. I was thrilled with his expert analysis of the situation to repair my car without pulling the engine, which would have been an expensive procedure. Ron and Paula provided quality service at a reasonable price, and I would certainly return.

Brought the car in for diagnosis, they said the engine was "seized" (total BS... I later took the engine apart and while I had melted the pistons, the rotating assembly did move and the engine could still turn over). Said I needed a new engine. Told me they found one to buy, then three months later told me they hadn't actually bought it (without calling me to tell me this). Returned maybe 2 calls in all of 6 months. SO, being a Volvo fanatic, I asked a couple of friends, then brought them an engine. A month later they hadn't even started on the swap. A month after that, I went in and took my car, my engine, and a bunch of parts that I had bought back from them. These guys can't pick up the phone without being hounded, their technician told me I was wrong repeatedly, and nobody was really willing to help. Fortunately after six months they only made me pay for the diagnoses they did in the beginning. Credentials: I took the car and engine and parts home and did the swap myself in my driveway in two weekends, having never done one before on my own. Saved an estimated $1800 and didn't have to deal with them again.
