Doug and his crew always do an excellent job working on three separate cars and one pickup over those years. I do my own oil changes and spark plug replacements, but more involved work like surpentine belts, tranny and radiator fluid changes and the occasional real problem with a vehicle, I leave to them knowing the work will be done well and at reasonable, not cheap, but reasonable rates. Sometimes, I ask for the old parts, and when I do, they are there for me to look at and keep if I want. I have never been disappointed. I am writing this review because I need to have my tires changed over to snows for the winter, looked their number up on the internet to give them a call, came across the reviews, and figured I should throw in my two cents. The check engine light in our sons car was on and while we were pretty... read more The check engine light in our sons car was on and while we were pretty sure it was due our daughter not putting the gas cap on tightly, we weren't sure. I called McCracken and they said bring it by whenever you have the chance and we'll clear the code. We brought the car in and they cleared the code and ascertained that it most likely was the gas cap. We have had to pay $75 to have this done at the dealer before. McCracken's staff was so nice, kind and helpful. They didn't charge us a dime and sent us on our way. We wouldn't go anywhere else
Had them "build" an EJ25 subaru motor for me not long ago. After 3k m... read more Had them "build" an EJ25 subaru motor for me not long ago. After 3k miles it is burning 1qt every 3k miles, and visibly smokes in boost and on decel. Alex assured me "the motor isn't broken in yet" at 2k miles. Its only gotten worse and I just continue to get run in circles. Don't go here to get an engine "assembled" go somewhere that's actually going to BUILD it and stand behind it. A few dynos and 300 facebook reviews totaling 4.9 stars is very capable of fooling your wallet!
