When I arrived, nobody was manning the store front. When "Patrick" finally came out, he seemed very confused about me requesting to have my TireRack.com tires installed. I had called ahead to ensure the tires were in the store. Eventually, he figured out "something or other" mumbled something I didn't understand and asked for my keys. I watched the entire service. They have large windows in the waiting area where you can clearly see the entire service bay, and they changed the tires within easy view of my location. I watched carefully, because I assumed that the TPMS service was bull***t, and that they wouldn't actually do anything. Glad I did. I saw the "technician" deflate all 4 tires, put them on the mounting machine, remove the old rubber and put on the new. They never did ANYTHING with the TPMS sensors on the wheels. Old tire off, new tire on ... nothing in between. To their credit, when I confronted them with this information, they called the "technician" over and asked if he did the TPMS service and he honestly answered that he had not "because nobody gave him the kit". I'm assuming if this is something they routinely charge, this is a service they should be routinely performing ... just as changing 4 valve-stems used to be. I am quite sure this is "business as usual", and they are routinely ripping people off $7.00 per tire for a service they never perform, and most folks are none-the-wiser. After much hemming and haw-ing and two calls to his boss, the service writer finally figured out how to issue me the $28.69 credit to my credit card.

I wanted to thank the mechanics of Safeway on Atwood avenue in Cranston for their excellent service on my vehicle. My wife and I went in this morning for an oil change and inspection. They went above and beyond with outstanding customer service. They Informed me of preventative maintenance and that my tire pressure was not correct and even corrected the issue. The price was fair and service was excellent. They put plastic in the car and even vacuumed it! I go to Safeway with my company vehicle and my personal vehicle for all repairs/maintenance. I highly recommend Safeway to anyone who cares about their vehicle and want to know that their vehicle will be properly serviced by quality mechanics!

Went in to get a headlight fixed for a ticket and made an appointment for the following morning. We decided to drop the car off and uber back after dinner and while finishing up we received a call from Bill who told us he already took care of the light and we were able to drive home only an hour after dropping it off. Magno auto repair was the WORST place I could EVER have taken my car to. They told me I had so many different things wrong with my vehicle, i had to get a new water pump, 4 sensors, timing belt, etc, in order to get my cadillac cts running in perfect condition. Well, not even a month later my car broke down and now its at a shop where the mechanic has informed me that the service done on my car by Magno's was the cause of my engine almost blowing. Magno's people left wires disconnected, sensors that were switched, they were all in wrong places, they put my engine back together but left screws out and that caused oil to leak all over the engine and brand new parts I had just spent 600$ on. There was also oil leaking from behind the pulleys, which were aparently too small. All that amongs other things, he destroyed my vehicle. After paying so much for a job, I really expected him to do it right, but I am very dissapointed and angry with this experience. My car is currently at another shop, where my vehicle's engine was put completely apart and numerous parts are being changed due to damage caused by him. And Magno will not do anything about it. Also, the receipt he gave my only says "work done for x amount of money" so there isn't much I could do legally. The most dishonest and iresponsible bussiness I've ever came across!

The owner has been servicing my car for about 15 years. Unless it was an absolute emergency and he was unavailable, I wouldn't let anyone else touch my car. He does a great and conscientious job, on time, for a reasonable price, and more than once has saved me significant money. As an example, I recently took my car to the dealer to have a malfunctioning (and wide-open) window repaired. (This is a case where it was an emergency and he wasn't available!) The repair cost hundreds of dollars. 5 weeks later the repair failed, and the dealer told me their repair didn't fail; it was actually a NEW issue that would cost me another big pile of money to fix. No thanks, I said and headed to S&W. Turns out the problem was a loose connection, an easy fix. S&W saved me $400! No question about it: I'd sent any and all of my friends to S&W to get their cars serviced. Dana S. Braintree, MA

There was a time when this was a great shop. But its the people that make a business great. This company has no respect for their employees and as a result can not retain any semblance of a permenant crew. They force extended hours manditory weekends and sundays and all but 2 holidays. These money hungry tactics do more harm then good. As far as other aspects of this location and company. Workmanship. Well no respectable mechantic would be treated the way they treat people so it as a result is poor. Quality. The parts used by monro are either a knock off brand made by monro otherwise the cheapest low quality part availible (trust me. I know). Price. Definatley higher then any indipendant shop in the area. Experience. When u visit monro u will be hassled into buying any and everything that can be replaced on your care. If u decline the services expect to be treated differntly. All-in-all this place is a nightmare buyer be ware.
