Our family has been taking our cars to Shell in the Square for years now, both for minor, expected, and unexpected repairs. We rely on the staff's judgement on our old car and have gotten excellent advice, timely repairs and are well satisfied with their service.

Went in to get a headlight fixed for a ticket and made an appointment for the following morning. We decided to drop the car off and uber back after dinner and while finishing up we received a call from Bill who told us he already took care of the light and we were able to drive home only an hour after dropping it off. Very friendly staff and very appreciative of the quick service that was provided...... Thank you guys!!!!!!!!

Most honest mechanic I've ever met. I was having troubles with my suspension on my Scion when I took my car to his shop to get checked out. I dropped it at noon, and he and his crew had pulled it apart and put it back together by the time I got back at the end of the work day. Stephen honestly told me that it was a problem with my strut, but it wasn't of any safety concern. He could fix it if I would like for a thousand dollars (mostly due to labor), but there was no rush since I might at least be able to get the parts cheaper myself. I wish I lived in this state - I'd come back in the future.

He specializes in electrical repair, diagnostics and fabrication. Residents of Melrose, Jaime and his wife have five children. In his spare time, Jaime enjoys teaching martial arts and educating women in self defense. Manny studied electrical engineering at the University of Massachusetts, and has over 20 years of experience in the auto repair industry. He is an ASE Certified Master Technician, and specializes in electrical repair and diagnostics. When he's not working, Manny enjoys playing tennis, camping and water skiing. I have been servicing my vehicles at Manny's for over 20 years. He is the best mechanic by far. His diagnostic skill are always right on. The newly remodeled shop is really cool with a modern waiting area. You will not be disappointed when you service your vehicle here. The customer service is excellent, the mechanics are very knowledgeable and honest. They initially told me that there was nothing wrong, they called me later on after they had done their homework and said that they had figured out what the problem was, they also told me that if I had any other issues to bring it back to them in a heartbeat.

WATCH YOUR WINDSHIELD WIPERS!! THEY RIP YOUR WINDSHIELD WIPERS SO YOU HAVE TO GET NEW ONES TO PASS INSPECTION. I WAS THERE 2 MONTHS AGO AND THEY DID IT TO 2 CARS IN FRONT OF ME AND MYSELF. MY HUSBAND WENT THERE THIS WEEK AND THE SAME THING JUST HAPPENED TO HIM..

I have a Cadillac Northstar that had an emissions failure for a sticker and ran poorly. I took it to one of the advertised "big box" shops that fix everything for less and after spending $800 and the problem still there, they told me to go to a certified emissions shop to "get a waiver" as it couldn't be fixed. I took it next to a big, major transmission shop that says they "fix check engine lights." After another $1500, they said to get a waiver-it couldn't be fixed. The state hotline said to try Happy Bear as they always have had a 5-Star rating with the state. I did and they fixed it first time and I got my sticker. The other places were just guessing instead of testing and I HAD TO PAY! THANKS HAPPY BEAR!!!!

I took my car here for an oil change yesterday and the service was great! When we were driving back home a little whole later our "check gages" light came on and our oil pressure gage was down completely. We called the store back and the owner came to my house and checked the car which was fine (just a wire). Such great service is rare in a mechanic shop and was such a great surprise!
