I have never come across a more honest mechanic than A.D. I used to own a used 2006 Nissan Frontier and brought it here several times. The quality of repairs and maintenance done on this vehicle is very impressive.

I was driving from Washington DC to Long Island NY on 10/20/2012 when I had a tire problem (slow deflation) on I-95. I made it to the Joppa exit ramp and put air in the tire at a quick mart/gas station. Not wanting to press on to a travel plaza for a tire repair I went to the nearby Day’s Joppa Auto Repair. They were able to help me immediately. When they pulled the bad front tire we found an unusual wear pattern that had worn one side down to the inner cord. Continued driving could have caused the tire to go flat again and possibly come apart. The other front tire was in a similar but less severe condition. I purchased a new set of front tires and an alignment to help with the wear pattern. They were able to get me back on the road in about an hour. As it was more than a simple flat tire, stopping there allowed me to get the problem fixed and continue my road trip. I found that Lissa, the general manager, and mechanics to be courteous, helpful and businesslike. The pricing and the services provided were right on the mark. I was pleased with the outcome and would use them again if I lived in the area.

Great Bunch of Guys !!! They checked my air conditioning for .. FREE .. and added .. FREON. It worked immediately. NO CHARGE .. for the service or FREON !!! Not only are they a .. Full Service Shop .. but .. they do .. Transmission work .. also. I finally found a .. Trustworthy Service Center .. that I can tell my .. Family and Friends about !!! Thanks .. I get four cars serviced at J&L for everything and I have never had a reason to question their ethics, honesty, or workmanship. I have found that there pricing has always been fair and they will look for ways to save you money on parts and they never double dip on labor. That is charging you for the same task twice. For instance if you get your timing belt changed you should also replace your water pump. Most placing will look in the book and charge you labor on each task when in reality labor for removing the belt is loaded into both repairs. J&L will not take advantage of that situation. I am not sure what happened with the review above with the oil change but there is no way in my mind that it could have happened the way she says. Sounds more to me about someone looking for a free repair.

I am in the middle of transferring a PA registered car to MD, and everyone here has been so helpful. They're quick, they keep appointments, they're accommodating and thorough, and I have gotten clear, reasonable answers to every question I've asked about the process. No car lingo, no trying to sell me something I don't need - they are actually concerned with my safety and doing their job well to ensure that.
