I have been going to guys for all kinds auto repairs for at least six years, I have also referred so many of my friends and family to them. To my greatest surprise and shock, I just found out that they are frauds, cheats and liars and have deceived my family and friends that I have over the years sent to them. I sent a vehicle to them for repair this month, Sam, one of the owners called me back and said it was going to cost $2200.00 parts and labor. I was taken aback at that quote. I would have agreed, but something in me this time said NO!. I went back the next day and picked up my car from them and gave it to another mechanic that I hardly knew. They charged me $900.00 with the same parts and labor including two brand new tires. Please be careful with these guys, they fooled me for years. Always seek for a second opinion. I have been going to Livonia Auto Body and Repairs for years. We have been mostly pleased with the work up until today. Let me say that this car we have owned for most all of 13 years and have kept it in good operating condition with the help of a couple of different mechanics. The car had been running good though there was a coolant leak. It ran smooth with no missing or hesitation. It just had a coolant leak. Though it had a leak we kept on eye on it and never let the reservoir get low. The temp gauge did not go passed the normal position on the way over or at anytime , so it was not overheated on the trip over to Livonia Auto. Three days go by and I finally get a call from James, the owner telling me the car had no guts and I said I understood that its old but we keep up the maintenance on it and it runs good except for the coolant leak. He said it was the intake tubes and they were replaced. When I went to go pick it up and the wife got in to drive it home, once it was put in gear it stalled. Over and Over again....I said to James that it didnt do that before and he blew up and said sacasticly, OH, how come i knew that would come out of your mouth. I was taken back. James was just out of control and said to take the car and leave. "Don’t even pay for it", he said. I said, James, I didn’t say you did anything.... but I think he doth protest too much. I think during the diagnosis James being busy and since the shop was short handed with a few people on vacation, let the car running and it overheated, causing the problem. Hence his defensive response when I stated that the car had not done that before. It is almost unrunnable, it sputters at about 60mph and will not speed up much. It stalls at lights and has hardly any power. I have never been treated this poorly by anyone before and didn’t deserve to be treated like that today. Especially since I believe James is responsible for the condition of the car. OH for the record, I did pay the bill cause that’s who I am. BUT I WILL NOT GO BACK AGAIN. I have never been treated so disrespectfully and them trying to blame me and my wife for the current condition of the car after their (James) neglectful service which I believed caused the engine to overheat during the diagnosis. I can’t prove this but I know my cars and it was not running like this before. Also, we have had no offer to help in fixing this and they will not accept responsibility for the damage they incurred. They are NOT worth anyone’s time or YOUR car may experience the same neglect and damage and they will blame it on YOU!

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would... but Yelp makes you at least give one and they don't deserve it at all. This place came highly recommended from all the reviewers here, however I have to question the authenticity of these reviews after the horrendous experience I just had here. This man named "Mohammed" (the owner) gave us so much lip service as to how he is an "honest" man and that he takes care of his clients. I had my X3 towed to his shop and I let Mohammed know that my Father was passing away 3 hours from this location (this was on a Friday, October 3rd)... that I needed a bit of urgency with my vehicle as this is the only one I have. He ASSURED me that he would get right on it and to not worry. This was early in the morning on that day. He sent us off saying to go grab lunch and relax and that he would CALL us back. Well...HOURS passed and NO call from him. So we decided to stop by on our way home to check on any progress. He talked to us and said that the Module (whatever that is) of the car not working, the EWS??? NOT working. He kept showing us what his little "diagnosis machine" was saying. He told us AGAIN that he will continue to work on my car since I needed to be on the road soon. We left trusting that he would tell us SOMETHING so we could pay for whatever needed to be ordered and get it done. This NEVER happened. We came back later that day before closing to retrieve items from my car since. By then it was obvious it wasn't going to get fixed. I got my things and he told us he needed more time to "diagnose", I had to rent a car for the weekend but ONCE AGAIN he reassured me that before the day was over, he would call us to tell us what's next. That call once again NEVER came. The weekend came and went this man never called me. Fast forward to Monday, I decided to call Mohammed at 11:43 a.m. to check the status of my vehicle and Mohammed got on the phone where he VERY rudely started going off about he needed time and that I just needed to wait and to let him look into the issue of the car further. I explained that I have been waiting for call backs for days with none. He once again told me he would call me back 5 hours later my husband called him to ask what was going on, and one of his workers told us that Mohammed was gone and not going to be back for a couple of days.Once my husband showed his displeasure. We get a call back from Cars Unlimited (the same employee who my husband just spoke to) telling us that he called Mohammed and he wanted us to come pick up the car from his shop because he decided that he was NOT going to repair it. This was at 5:00 p.m. in the day, leaving no choice to get another tow, this time to Farmington Hills BMW, where I just should've taken it in the first place but instead of doing this I trusted all these reviews. Which it makes me question these. I highly doubt people are okay with not getting any communication from who you should be able to trust fixing your mean of transportation. I will be notifying EVERYONE I come in contact about the "establishment" (and I'm using this term very loosely)... and FYI to everyone out there doing business with him. He was so unprofessional as to show me the copy of a customer of his driver's license, because he bought a car from this "desperate man" who's father had just died for 10k dollars when the vehicle was only a couple of years old and it was actually worth 30k dollars plus! So this goes to show the lack of integrity this man has that He would take advantage of someone in that grieving state! This is Deplorable behavior.
