Jeep service near Livonia, MI

I have been going to Livonia Auto Body and Repairs for years. We have been mostly pleased with the work up until today. Let me say that this car we have owned for most all of 13 years and have kept it in good operating condition with the help of a couple of different mechanics. The car had been running good though there was a coolant leak. It ran smooth with no missing or hesitation. It just had a coolant leak. Though it had a leak we kept on eye on it and never let the reservoir get low. The temp gauge did not go passed the normal position on the way over or at anytime , so it was not overheated on the trip over to Livonia Auto. Three days go by and I finally get a call from James, the owner telling me the car had no guts and I said I understood that its old but we keep up the maintenance on it and it runs good except for the coolant leak. He said it was the intake tubes and they were replaced. When I went to go pick it up and the wife got in to drive it home, once it was put in gear it stalled. Over and Over again....I said to James that it didnt do that before and he blew up and said sacasticly, OH, how come i knew that would come out of your mouth. I was taken back. James was just out of control and said to take the car and leave. "Don’t even pay for it", he said. I said, James, I didn’t say you did anything.... but I think he doth protest too much. I think during the diagnosis James being busy and since the shop was short handed with a few people on vacation, let the car running and it overheated, causing the problem. Hence his defensive response when I stated that the car had not done that before. It is almost unrunnable, it sputters at about 60mph and will not speed up much. It stalls at lights and has hardly any power. I have never been treated this poorly by anyone before and didn’t deserve to be treated like that today. Especially since I believe James is responsible for the condition of the car. OH for the record, I did pay the bill cause that’s who I am. BUT I WILL NOT GO BACK AGAIN. I have never been treated so disrespectfully and them trying to blame me and my wife for the current condition of the car after their (James) neglectful service which I believed caused the engine to overheat during the diagnosis. I can’t prove this but I know my cars and it was not running like this before. Also, we have had no offer to help in fixing this and they will not accept responsibility for the damage they incurred. They are NOT worth anyone’s time or YOUR car may experience the same neglect and damage and they will blame it on YOU!

Best car I ever bought runs great no issues and I got it for the best price

I have been going to guys for all kinds auto repairs for at least six years, I have also referred so many of my friends and family to them. To my greatest surprise and shock, I just found out that they are frauds, cheats and liars and have deceived my family and friends that I have over the years sent to them. I sent a vehicle to them for repair this month, Sam, one of the owners called me back and said it was going to cost $2200.00 parts and labor. I was taken aback at that quote. I would have agreed, but something in me this time said NO!. I went back the next day and picked up my car from them and gave it to another mechanic that I hardly knew. They charged me $900.00 with the same parts and labor including two brand new tires. Please be careful with these guys, they fooled me for years. Always seek for a second opinion. Currently battling them and Mike right now...going on for almost 2 weeks... took the truck in for lifters, catalytic converter, muffler, head gaskets, and head issues...I bought my parts, gaskets, and fluids. While being repaired I got told that both heads and camshaft were good, now all of a sudden I needed 2 injectors, and the new lifters I purchased were bad..he had to supposedly switch some stuff from the other side to make it work. Now I need a camshaft because the valves weren't moving then mysteriously now the camshaft is good after I showed him a video of them moving before he installed anything so he gave me back 7 out of the 32 lifters (16 new/16 old) that look like the ones that were already in there...so after going back and forth again and waiting up there, Mike says everything is good to go it wasn't...I didn't even have it home for a couple of hours. It cut off 3 times, surging, hard starting, stalling, ticking, and now a cylinder 5 misfire (the head that was supposedly good but never touched). Never had this problem before they worked on it. I took the truck back, and now he's trying to blame it on my parts because they are aftermarket or saying it is something else like a fuel-related problem (injector, fuel pump) keep in mind that the driver-side head didn't get removed...upon observing the engine the driver's side head was never removed and my parts weren't installed but he said he did. The bolts were still rusted and the original. I bought new manifold bolts that were installed on the passenger side but not the drivers along with gaskets etc. So now the parts I purchased weren't installed and I do not have them and he's coming up with an excuse and now I have to find out what they did with them since they weren't installed...so for $2300 that's paid in full my truck is there still and now we are going back and forth. He charged me for fluids, diagnostics, mufflers, catalytic converter, and installation of lifters and gaskets for both sides and only did the passenger side. I should have followed my first mind, and went somewhere else..this shop can't be trusted and the bad reviews are real...Thursday makes 2 weeks and Mike supposedly had a family emergency and won't be back for a couple of days... I've emailed the Mayor of Westland, will contact the BBB and the State of Michigan, and will more than likely have to go to small claims court the way it's looking.

DO NOT UTILIZE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY FOR THE EXACT SAME WORK TO BE DONE TWICE SOMEWHERE ELSE.
