While the representatives we worked with were courteous and helpful, the actual work done and quoted was terrible. We needed a new transmission, which we were able to coordinate with a junkyard for a quarter of the price. Additionally, they recommended a power steering fluid change, and upon a further inspection, the fluid was at a perfect level and color. The worst of all was the $230 estimate to fix an evap purge control solenoid which is a $20-30 part that required no fancy tools to install and can be done in less than a minute. This would have been a complete rip-off to have them do. We will be looking for a new mechanic as this is the second horrible diagnosis and money grab we’ve had with them within our family. It is sad to see a ministry like this operating with such low integrity.

We originally took the van in for an oil change and a transmission leak was discovered so we made another appointment for the following week to address the leak. We dropped the van off the night before and I hadn't heard anything by 3pm the day of the appt so I called. No one had a clue about what was being done with the van and it was still in the same spot I left it the night before! It took so long to run the tests they didn't have time to even complete the repair. I understand that the manager was out the day it was scheduled to be in, but I expect things to continue running in an orderly fashion even in her absence. Very disappointed

I had my car checked here. They did the following: Remove and replace left and right valve cover gasket (both sides), remove and replace spark plugs, replace front camshaft plug, remove and replace oxygen sensor (one). I paid for about 2,100 dollars including the full checkup and I had it on their financing. As a person who has no knowledge of car parts, I trusted them fully. I just hope that what they charged me is a reasonable price. Will start bringing my car to their shop for some maintenance i.e oil change etc. Hopefully, they will take good care of my car as what they promised me. Thanks!

I got there at 10:00 a.m. for a routine oil change and left at 2:00 p.m. This Is what hapoened. My car is a KIA Carnival 2024, the folks did not have the oil filter that the car needed, so they had to order the filter that day. I was not a walk in and registered my car online... so I would've thought that a filter would have been ordered beforehand... but maybe that is not the protocol, anyways... That was the first unfortunate thing that happened. Not only did the person order the wrong filter, the filter took over 1.5 hrs to get on location. It was then that they realized that the filter was the wrong one. The second order of the correct filter also took over an hour... So at this point, it was around 12:30/1:30 and I was being as patient as I could... Losing a half days worth of work and then having to work later that night was what I was trying to avoid by scheduling the appointment at 10:00 a.m. The person working the computer that day was really nice and I really wish I didn't have this kind of experience.... But waiting 4 hrs for an oil change is not ideal and then having to pay full price without any discount for the time spent on site was upsetting. I saw that they did leave some stuffed animals and a pack of wipes in the car, but at this point the damage had been done. If I do come back to Matt's for an oil change... I might be inclined to bring a filter myself so this type of incident doesn't happen again... I apologize for writing this and I do hope it is a one off incident. I will still be bringing the car for the next one... But if that one doesn't go well, I might have to find another local place to take our vehicle. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

I recently had my girlfriends car in to do a serpentine belt replacement. She had driven across the country to visit for the holidays and it was making noise and had a crack starting in it so I made an appointment to get it in and taken care of. They got me in right away on a short notice and we’re fairly quick with their service which is awesome. The issue is when they replaced the belt, none of the pulleys or tensioners were inspected at the time and the inner fender liner was loosely fitted back on. On her way back home the idler pulley bearing seized and spun the bolt out of the pulley assembly. Another tensioner pulley needed to be replaced as well due to wear. This combination left her stranded on the side of the road for a night and a majority of the following day. She had to pay for a tow and replacement of all damaged parts. Now I may be wrong but one would assume that you would inspect tensioners and pulleys when replacing a belt as to avoid this. Maybe that is not the case like I said I am just speculating. I also didn’t ask for them to do that so that could be a fault of my own. I’ve gotten a lot of second opinions before writing this and have come to the conclusion that mistakes were made on both parties. I’m in the service industry and I get shit happens but I feel this could have been avoided. Feel free to contact me if you feel so inclined. thanks.

My pickups right rear window did not work. I told them it was more than just the window motor as all of the windows would not work at times. The appraisal to fix the motor was $500+ which is an unbelievable number for a $120 part. Also, after I looked into the problem, I found that there was a broken wire which provided a fault for the windows. This lead to a realization that the window motor wasn’t faulty at all and Matt’s was going to charge me for a problem that wasn’t even there. I understand the need to make money to run a business but after my recent experience with Matt’s it has left me with a great distaste for them as a repair shop. I hope this helps improve your business. Have a good day.
