The Solomons sold retread and new tires to an ever growing driving public. The brothers built their business through hard work, superior products and service. Fast forward 80 years and those principles still hold true. Brought the car there because the brakes are pulsating when depressed. Dropped the car off the night before. They called me in the morning saying they are checking the car. An hour later needs rotors (warped) and the front wheels balanced. They said that was the cause. $550 I said fine. I get there around 1230. The bill was 25 dollars more, no call to advise. Fine I paid. I leave and within 6 minutes call them back to advise the problem persist and now the front brakes are smoking heavy. I bring the car back, I was there 40 minutes without anyone saying a fucking word about what was going on. Unprofessional AF! I asked what the status was, " waiting on parts" did not say what parts. 2 hours later I get my car back. "Should be good now the first rotors I guess were bad" i take the car and the problem still fucking persist. I have to wait to speak to someone AGAIN! $575 dollars for a fucking nightmare. Don't go there!

I want to say first this Shop was so friendly and helpful. I had got in car accident on Sunday. Called them Monday morning and my guy who I deal with, was out sick, so the Girl at the front desk, Cat got my car over to their shop right away! I even had the wrong phone number! I call the fax machine & Cat knew to call me back... Anyway, the whole experience was seamless, professional, and easy! They even dealt with my insurance company! My family and I have been taking our car there for over 20 years. The owner, Randy, is the best. His prices are a little more expensive than other places, but he always gets to the root of the problem and he is trustworthy. Routinely, he tells us when we can wait to get a service done or if we don't need to do it at all. In the end, this saved us a ton of money.

One star is a LOT to give. This place deserves no business. My car sat in their lot for 11 days. No work was completed. I was going through my warranty company and they didn’t send in any of the photos that were required. Not one photo they claimed to send, went through. I sent the photos they provided to the warranty and they received them immediately. I was stolen from. I removed my vehicle yesterday, without being serviced due to them charging me $1900 for a power steering pump to be fixed. Who in their right minds can tell me that is not overcharging? $1100 out of pocket and my warranty would cover the rest. I told them I know better than this. The district manager of all Philadelphia stores approached me when picking up the keys and tried to assure me that he would do his best to “make me happy”. Immediately I told him nothing with this business would make me happy. He said he would remove $550 off of the price and charge me $449. What mechanic can rightfully take off $550 off of a job? NONE. They were taking advantage of me and thought I wouldn’t fall into their trap. The BEST part of this entire process was the fact that they submitted that they completed the work and charged my warranty company $857 to be paid out. They were PAID for a job UNDONE. I took my car keys and told them I would be taking my business elsewhere. Why would I do business with people who are MONEY HUNGRY and don’t respect women? This is absurd. If i was a MAN I never would have endured such horrible treatment. Each employee was very rude. I would NEVER recommend this business to ANYONE. I will encourage any person who’s ever been to Midas to never return.

If you value your money seek another mechanic. My car smokes, stalls and shakes ever since the lead mechanic Dan laid his hands on it. What should have been a simple fix turned into a ferocious nightmare. Take your car elsewhere.
