Thankfully this small family owned shop is in existence ,growing up there was one on every corner,these days now have big chain shops with school trained mechanics that have NO hands on experience. They were able to negotiate with my insurance adjuster and ultimately helped in proving the car was totaled and making sure I got back the fair market value for the car.
