Chevrolet service near Hempstead, NY

The mobile service was great! They came at the time they said they would, took my old battery out, popped the new one in, 30min tops! They were very Friendly, friendly is good! I trusted them right away. My baby(car) is old and her age shows, i need a shop that can keep her going. I need a Honest mechanic that I can trust and wont BS me. It is very HARD for a single women to find HONEST TRUSTWORTHY Mechanics, I feel like I have. Plus they are right next to TJMAXX!

This is not simply a service and gas station - Joe is a community member. When I buy gas in another town, I feel like I'm cheating ! We vote with our dollars every day - and it's important to support our community members. They also have pick up and delivery service for repairs and are always timely! Deirdre Ventura

I was looking on yelp for a good mechanic in Ridgewood and came across a recommendation that I was impressed with and decided to give the shop a try. I was so impressed with the cleaniness of the place (they are usually very dirty) and the knowledge the mechanic had, that I felt comfortable leaving my Chevrolet Truck there. I needed an inspection and once I started to explain a strange noise in my truck, Ken, the owner of the shop, told me I needed brakes. I had him do the job. I was happy with the repairs he made. My truck never felt this good. His prices are fair and I am glad to say I will be coming back and recommending him to everyone I know who needs a good mechanic.

The first review was taken off this website for an unknown reason. The owner Edgar Sanchez Jr. is untruthful about the estimates he's writes, complains about not being able to work on my car because I have wheel spacers on it which his mechanics end up damaging and could not remove and which ended with my car being driven away by a stranger and items from my glovebox being stolen. Police forced him to let me inspect the car before paying his crazy repair bill which is when I found valuables missing from my car.

I too have been bringing my cars to Tilden for many years and really appreciate the attention and quality service they have received. They treat their customers like family and will go out of their way to fix your problem and get you back on the road. I would, and do, recommend Tilden to all my friends and hope they are fortunate enough to try them and benefit from their fine service. See Tom, Pat or the Patriarch Joe and tell them Dick sent you! Went there for state inspection. They told me that my car needs front break pads. I was surprised because day before I went to my dealer for oil change and state inspection, which they could not do because of their broken machine and they did mention that my car needed break pads after courtesy meticulous inspection. Dealer’s multipoint inspection sheet indicated that my break pads are less than half way through. I guess it is dealer’s word against Midas’s word. But I’m sure dealer would not pass on this job if my car needed pads and release me in unsafe vehicle. Not wanting to pay for failed state inspection, I went with replacement. Midas charged me $99.99 for Centric ceramic front pads only! + $106 for labor. I think I got the DEAL OF a LIFETIME here as such break pads cost no more than $30 all over the internet. I still could have done good mileage on these break pads. Rip off and scam. Will not go there again!
