On July 31st of 2019 I came to Edmond South Tag Agency on 33rd and Bo... read more On July 31st of 2019 I came to Edmond South Tag Agency on 33rd and Boulevard in Edmond Oklahoma. I met with my daughter from another mother to transfer the title of the car to her name since I am giving her my car. I had been a customers from this tag agency for over 18 years. I had never had issues until now. My drivers license had my full name. It is written by my first name, my middle name, my maiden name and my married name. An employee decided not to notarized my document because she said I will need a document that show only my unmarried name on the ID even though my maiden name was on my ID including my married name. She then said she have a right to refused service to anyone. As I walk out of the tag agency, I felt she refused service because I am a minority. All she saw was 3 minority women. Not knowing that I am giving this car to a college student so that she can continue to go to school. Prior to that this young lady was going to stop going to school because she wanted to get a job, save money so that she can buy a car. Then return to school. We then went to TFCU on 33rd and Byant and without hesitation after I showed the man my ID he notarized the title. Please take your business elsewhere. Where all people of any race are all welcome. I guess when one does good things others try to stop it, but it did not work. Darkness never win when God is involved in the process.
