Clutch repair service near Wilsonville, OR

This shop has proven to me that they are knowledgeable, friendly, and reasonably priced. I got excellent, fast, and reliable service for some recent electrical problems with my Nissan truck. I happened upon their shop by accident when I was dealing with an emergency failure of my alternator. I will return here for all future automotive work since they earned my trust.

Heard about Tommy's from another shop (that doesn't do transmission work). Tommy himself is great, very quick to respond and upfront about everything. Got me in and done quick. The thing that stood out to me was this: I had a transmission service and transfer case service. When I got back to pick up my truck, Tommy said that the fluid in my transfer case was black... really bad. He had (without telling me or upselling) flushed my transfer case twice to make sure all the nasty fluid was out. In this day and age, to find someone who would do the right thing without being prompted - amazing. I'll be going back for sure. Plus getting loves from the shop dog is always a plus! Dan MacKenzie

Stay away they are scammers! I went to this shop for a transmission. They charged me $3700 and talked me out of purchasing an extended warranty. Telling me that this transmission was heavy duty and I'd be wasting my money. They said they never have transmissions come back and the guy who put it in was the best! The regular warranty is for 1 year. Well a little more than a year later when the warranty was up, the tranny starts feeling funny. So I take it back in. They check it out and assure me that there is nothing wrong with the transmission. Well about a month goes by and it starts getting worse where it's slipping. So I take it back again and they tell me I need another new tranny, of course my warranty was up so I had to pay for it. They assured me it would be cheaper this time because it wouldn't require as many parts. I was enraged and after threating to go to the BBB. They said they could give me a break on the price about $2,000 but they would only warranty it for 3 months and I wouldn't have the option to purchase an extended warranty. What!! why would they do that, I know because they know they do crappy work and it probably will go out again! I ended up accepting that offer because I plan on getting rid of the car anyway. So it ends up taking them more than 2 weeks to get it fixed they kept telling me it'll be ready tomorrow then the next day and so on. I ended up having to miss work and asked for a loaner car but they wouldn't do it. Said they couldn't afford the $25 per day. When I did get the car back they offered to drive it to my house. I thought this was nice, but when he got there, he was acting real nervous. Had me sign reciept of the vehicle and almost took off running, to his ride, who hadn't shown up yet. I get in the car it smells like grease and oil and the gas light is on. The transmission works but feels a little rough if you ask me. What a bunch of Crooked Jerks. If I could give them a worse rating then this I would. I received absolutely horrible customer service by the owners, of all people. I went in using a coupon I had got off of Groupon and asked for an oil change. I was a first time customer of Meineke and thought they were offering a good deal through Groupon so I'd try it out. Bad mistake. I had only asked for an oil change nothing else, as my car did not need it and I was short for time. Before I knew it the mechanic came into the lobby and told me he broke part of my wheel while getting my tire off. I was confused as to what he was talking about so he led me into the back to show me. As he was explaining that the piece broke because of who ever put the tires on last tightened them too much and I would now pay for the part he broke, it hit me.........I didn't even ask him to be doing anything with my tires. When I asked why my tires were being messed with when all I wanted was an oil change, the Female owner said to me well we always do complementary tire rotation and I'm sure you were told that. At this point I'm getting pretty irritated and let them know that I did not ask anyone to touch my tires, and I shouldn't be paying for a part that is broken by their mechanic who performed a service I did not need, or ask for. The Male owner then stated fine I will take the charge off since you're whining so much about it. I waited around for 2 hours for their mechanic to fix it and never received so much as an apology from the owner, only the statement that it's better where they moved from because people aren't like they are around here. Can you believe it?! The point of the Groupon was for them to build up their customer base, but instead they lost more customers then they know. Businesses are build on word of mouth.....

From the standpoint of mechanical skill and expertise Doug has always provided great service. Additionally, and perhaps more importantly, he has always dealt fairly with me when there were differences re: the final cost of a job. No one is perfect, and no business will please everyone, but no one tries harder than Doug to do well what he does, and to treat fairly every customer he serves. Jerry M. Salem, OR

Great service, they do the best to get you a great deal. They don't pressure you to buy a car like other dealers might. They want you to be comfortable and happy with your purchase.. Very professional and friendly group of guys. I brought my car in for an A/C evac/recharge but the old compressor was leaking badly, so they couldn't proceed. They didn't charge me for any of the work up to that point and were happy to revisit it after I replaced the compressor (I had a spare). The spare compressor ended up needing the clutch from the failed unit, which again they were happy to tackle. They worked late to finish it up and the final bill was very reasonable for the amount of work and number of back and forth sessions. They're also happy to provide rides to and from the shop.
