Mr Sternotti was suposed to rebuild a motor for me. i pulled the motor... read more Mr Sternotti was suposed to rebuild a motor for me. i pulled the motor my self and delivered it personally to joe with a deposit for the work he had agreed on . he said it would be a 2 week turn around it has been over 3 mounths and countless lies or excues and i have not recevied the motor. on futher research i found out that mr sternotti has numerous civil suits all over the counrty were he has ripped people off. only wish i had checked him out before this mess started. I just received my 2000 Heritage Softail back from Joey Sternotti at C... read more I just received my 2000 Heritage Softail back from Joey Sternotti at Custom and Performance Cycle Center. I have to say That Joey is very knowledgeable and meticulous when he works on someones motorcycle. I got his name from Zippers who said Joey is the only person we would recommend to put our parts on a bike. After calling and talking to Joe he said that he has the parts like the Zippers Kit only he takes it 10 steps further. Joey came to my house on Christmas eve to pick the bike up and I live in North Jersey 2 hours from him. All I wanted from him was the motor and exhaust done. When he finished and test rode it he found some other problems (some that I knew about some I didn't) Which he repaired at no charge. He found several broken spokes in the back a bad rear shock and my lowers on the front end were bad. That I knew about. I paid for the new lowers, he did not charge me any extra labor on anything. His communication was great he would call and tell me where he was at. Joey was so meticulous he would give the bike back until it was perfect. Now as far as those 3 bad reviews by pussy's that can't leave their names, and post anonymously all I can say is those bikes were NOT sold by him, Any mechanic knows that mounting a tire backwards will not decease the life a tire only not give you the traction the way it was designed to and finally to say the he charges way to much for knowledge well thats the way it goes knowledge is how we put food on the table. Ever heard the saying u get what you pay for? I did not have a limit I was going to spend on this bike and was so ready to spend at least $3000 more than what he charged me for all the extra work! There is also a place around the corner from him with a similar name, so if you don't believe me call Joey Sternotti yourself . That being said I would not hesitate to tell friends about him or use him again. I was treated like gold by him. He is the best. Don Totowa Auto Works LLC
