WOW, My car failed inpection, He gave me a list of things that needed to be done in order for it to pass and a quote to fix it all. Honestly, the quote seemed reasonable but I took it to another Garage to get a comparative quote. The difference was huge. I got the work done and took it back to get re-inspected. It failed again. He claimed one of the items I had fixed still needed to be done. Took it elsewhere to get re-inpected and passed. Here's the deal, He's taking advantage of his position as an inpection station and using it as a way to get more business. I was warned about him but I wanted to make my own mind up. Well, I have. Every interaction with him seemed like I was being hustled. He says, "I always try to do what's best for my customers" and he says it often. Maybe he believes that just saying it over and over will make you believe it. Hell, he may even beleive it himself.

I just had the clutch repaired on my 1974 MG Midget at Ron's transmission. He took the time to figure out the exact problem, ordered the correct parts and fixed the issue without a full clutch rebuild/replace. I"ve never been to AAMCO for auto service,I've gone to other shops I thought I knew fairly well> I had transmision issues with both my vehicles within a month< along with other vehicle problems.The other shops had different diagnosis for the problems. After much time in the shops ,and substantial cash outlays, the problems persisted to some extent in both vehicles. I went to AAMCO,I had my transmission problems pinpointed very promptly, I discussed other suspension issues,engine isues, that I was having with both vehicles,I told the tech I was very discouraged with the other shops, I wasn't sure of my next move.THe tech told me that he would get to the root of the problems,HE SURE DID! My transmisions were fixed ASAP,and the problems that were so elusive to others,were handily identified and resolved.AAMCO went above and beyond any expectations I had.These guys are the best.They deserve all the credit in the world. I would very highly recommend AAMCO for any and all repairs to your vehicle

The customer service is excellent, the mechanics are very knowledgeable and honest. They initially told me that there was nothing wrong, they called me later on after they had done their homework and said that they had figured out what the problem was, they also told me that if I had any other issues to bring it back to them in a heartbeat.

I would not recommend anyone to get any type of service done here. I sent my daughter to have a diagnostics and quote done by these rip off artist and they told her that it was her motor and wanted 2400.00. so I asked her to have it towed to another service center for an other opinion and when it arrived there they had discovered that the plugs and wires and coil removed. I would really like to know how to deal with these type of operators as I live so far away.

I went to Bettencourt Honda with an unusual running problem. The cycle was losing power at speed. Seemed to be fuel related. I did drain the carb before storing it for the winter. It was acting up before I stored it. They said they would start with a complete fuel system clean wth a carb rebuild, and would go from there.They charged me $200. The bike ran the same afterwards. When I questioned them, I was told that their techs refused to ride on it because the engine "sounded like it was going to blow up". Actually, it has sounded the same for the past 4 years and 20,000 miles. It is a one cylinder 200 cc engine, and the muffler was loud, not the engine. I guess their techs couldn't tell the difference. I called around and finally found a Yamaha dealer that would work on it. I took it to C&E Yamaha a long way away. They found the problem almost immediately. It was a clogged charcoal cannister. Bettencourt Honda said they would have checked the vapor cannister IF IT WAS A HONDA; but they don't do that on non-Hondas. The moral of the story is that Bettencourt Honda does not do a thorough job, don't verify their repairs, and don't stand behind their work. They have a 14 day guarantee on their work, but wouldn't help me after 10 minutes. I spoke to the service manager afterwards. He changed his story. Now he said that the reason they wouldn't ride the bike was because the tires (full tread in front, marginal tread in back) were dry-rotted (hairline cracks near the bead that you had to really bend the tire to see). There are better places to take your ride..

AMAZING! My car broke down in Franklin, I live in Watertown...had it towed to Mark's thanks to AAA. I had no clue where to take my car as it was late and everything was closed ( good thing for google looking for local places ). He owns the place and worked on my car, he did not over charge on labor and he did not lie about the cost of parts to make money ( I have had this problem with places in Watertown, Midas, Firestone and the list goes on..although Perfection in Watertown is decent). After he fixed my car he took it for a drive and it was rainy so he replaced my awful wipers free of charge. He inspected all of my brakes free of charge ( my problem was right front brakes ). My car was fixed in no time and he offered to pick me up from the train station as I was not sure how I was going to get back to Franklin, but I ended up getting a ride. His place was very nice, he was very nice..you could tell he loves what he does. It was overall a wonderful experience. He was very honest and I will be making the drive to Franklin for all my car needs..yes, it was that good! Finally, honesty!! Thanks Mark, you saved the day and did not kill my wallet!
