This is my first experience with Japanese Auto Repair. What a great find! These guys really know what they are doing. Had a check engine light on my 2016 Prius come on. Upon arrival at their shop, the first thing I noticed was that David, the owner, had all of his training certifications and credentials for Toyota up on the wall which gave me a high level of comfort. I also got a real feeling of trust when dealing with Tony who took care of me. These guys are honest and take the time to explain the issues. Their pricing was also very fair. I called and talked to Joe about installing the Amp Reseach power running boards. Joe told me to go ahead and bring the truck and boards in and he would look at them. Joe called and gave me the price and i told him to go ahead and install them. Justin installed them with no problem and had the vehicle ready to go the next day. Had a slight problem with one side but took it back down and Justin adjusted it and had me ready to go in a short time. Great work as always, would not trust my car with anyone else!! Mark C.

Like most auto repair shops, they so often fail to show their cost of parts plus the mark up, which can be significant depending on brand and who the wholesaler is. In most cases auto repair shops will buy after market products instead of OEM, which allows them to mark up the parts a 100 to 150 percent plus labor. This lack of transparency can cost the customer a good deal of money over an above what is considered reasonable. First consult a auto parts store for pricing on parts needed, you'll find that the retail pricing will be less than what your paying the auto repair shop. In most cases auto repair labor charges will exceed the cost of parts by 70 to 300 percent, a wide disparity indeed.

Don't even waste your time if you want a mechanic who will actually call you back. I called on Tuesday to schedule him to come out on Friday at which time he told me would be no problem since he had availability on Friday. He asked ME to call him back Thursday to confirm, which I thought a bit odd since normally the business offers to call the CUSTOMER back to confirm, but I went along with it. I called him on Thursday and nothing. He's also listed on Angie's List who I plan to email next. A business who won't call a customer back should not be on Angie's List. It frustrates me when small business owners do this kind of thing because quite frankly I'd rather support them than some huge conglomerate however, this tends to make me use someone I know I can count on...a conglomerate.

Do not use this company. I paid $220 for a service he did not provide. He supposedly filled my car with freon and I was told it was a little cooler but still warm I had to pay an additional 100 to have freon put in my car and was told it did not have any freon. He lied and no service was provided. This company is a RIP OFF. DO NOT USE THEM

I have taken both cars on a couple of occasions. They are great at the complicated issues. The cars are getting older and are starting to have issues. I can trust the team to diagnose everything correctly. On a recent visit, I was following my wife in her car. Her comment, "Autocare European, won't they be expensive?" The answer is they are very affordable. Plus on one visit they gave me a loan car. Plus, they detail the car on each visit. I am sold.

I was ready to leave Loyd Park in Grand Prairie and the front air leveling system was leaking air and would not raise the motorhome. Not drivable. So, I called Quality RV repair who I've done business with before, but turn out they don't work on the Freightliner chassis. Seconds later she is giving me Tommy's name and number. I called it but got voicemail. It was getting late in the day. My family had already gone home, so I called and arranged for another night, thinking Tommy probably would not call back. But a short time later Tommy did call. Said he would be out soon. Soon was very soon as it turned out. You don't find service people like Tommy very often. He crawled under the bus and determined the valve needed to be replaced. He called several places and left with the bad valve as one place said the may have one. Turns out no, but Freightliner Dallas did and he put it in will call. I drove to Dallas and picked up the part that night. Tommy met me back at the campsite 7 ish the next morning and fixed it. Apparently this part had been partially bad for a long time. My Motorhome rides better, handles better, is much quitter and sets higher then before. When I park I can tell the volume of air being released is much greater than bofore. Can't say enough good about Tommy. He gave me a very reasonable rate for his labor as well. We need more Tommy's in the world. Ken
