My car was making a rattling noise when I started it. They did an oil change and said that fixed the issue. Two days later it started doing it again. The shop is always too busy to diagnose and fix problems.If it’s not a basic or straight forward issue they can’t handle it.

The people were very friendly and helpful. I decided not to get some of the work done there as I found much cheaper options elsewhere, but that was my choice and not a problem with Nielson’s. My main frustration is that a day after I had my car looked at there (and had the problems they identified addressed by another cheaper garage), the car failed a safety inspection for three things that did not show up anywhere on their report: parking break not holding, and a front and rear marker light out. Those seem like very easy things to identify, especially the lights, so not sure why they were missed.

Contacted Drake and it was very professional and they answered all the questions in a correct manner. All my conversations was with the owner Carl and I got the best quote. I have a 2007 Prius, first I took my car to Manassas Monroe and was quoted shy of $700 for brake pads and rotors. Next I price the parts online which can be purchase for shy of $150.00. Next I called the deal and was quoted at $534.00. Next I called Drake's and talked to Carl, and was given the price of $269.00 plus tax and shop fees which came out to $288.00. He was honest upfront and did show integrity. Yes I would use them again and will recommend to family and friends. By the way driving the car after the brake job felt like a job well done. No squeak, no pulling no jerky stops, just smooth breaking the way it should be. By the way this is my first time ever posting a review for anyone. I can't say enough positive things about Ty Nguyen's Arlington Auto Shop. I lucked into it about eight years when I was again hit while parking on DC streets. Ty offers personal, reliable service with free estimates. Work is reasonably priced, done on time and is guaranteed. I have recommended his shop to several of my friends and they were equally pleased. My car is ten years old and looks new as Ty uses excellent products and does paint matching that restores my car to its original look. Try this shop once and you will be back.
