I went to the Citgo mechanic for a vehicle inspection so that I could register my car in MD. My first impression was very good - the staff were friendly, got me in quickly, and gave me an estimate for repairs (a new tie rod and malfunctioning blinker) that seemed reasonable for the area. After having the repairs done, however, I learned several things that led to additional work (at another mechanic) and more money out of my pocket. I cannot recommend this business to anyone looking for a reliable mechanic. Though the mechanic fixed my blinker (the relay was off, causing it to blink rapidly), it started malfunctioning again the next day. I had to go back so he could fix it again. Annoying, yes, but not a huge deal. My greatest concern had to do with the tie rod. After leaving the mechanic, I noticed that my steering wheel was crooked (when driving straight, the steering wheel was actually turned 45 degrees to the left). My tires would also squeal when making turns. When I called the mechanic to talk to him about the problem, he told me that he could not fix it. He said my car would need an alignment, and that he could not do that for me. This confused me, as an alignment was supposed to be one of the things checked on a vehicle inspection, and the mechanic had, in fact, indicated that my vehicle passed the alignment check. Moreover, it is common practice to do an alignment anytime a tie rod is replaced to make sure the wheels are straight (failing to do so can cause the car to pull to one side when driving and affect the angle of your tires, which leads to poor gas mileage and uneven wear on the treads). After prodding him further, it came to light that the mechanic actually did not have the equipment needed to do alignments. He did not tell me this at any point during the initial inspection or when making repairs. Import Auto Service is fantastic!! I have been a loyal customer for over 15 years. I started going to Import when I had a 1986 Volvo and needed my air conditioning repaired. I took it the dealer who wanted $2,000 to fix which I did not want to pay for something needed only during the summer. I always do thorough research and Import Auto Service had great reviews from customers and the Better Business Bureau. I decided to take my car to Import - to my amazement, the total cost was $800.00 and included some other services. That was the beginning of a great and long lasting relationship. Import kept my Volvo on the road for many years - I sold the Volvo in 2010 and the new owner still drives it and (on my recommendation) takes it to Import for servicing. Import now services my current Volvo. I trust Import completely - they are honest, ethical and are committed to providing quality service and having satisfied customers. The staff is always very friendly and courteous and the mechanics are experienced and knowledgeable. Import's prices are significantly less than the dealers and they have saved me a lot of dollars over the years. I’ve used European Auto Body for my cars several times and have been more than pleased with the timeliness, the quality of work, and the price. This shop does excellent work and it’s obvious they take pride in what they do. Specifically, I refer to Mr. Linton Browne, who treats each car as if it’s his own, and who is one of the most customer-oriented technicians I’ve ever met. My most recent repair involved adjusting the position of the passenger-side front fender on my 2008 Corvette. The fender had shifted out of alignment—due to a long-ago previous repair from some other auto body shop—and was hanging up on the front edge of the door, preventing the door from opening. I stopped in one morning to make an appointment with Linton to bring in the car for repair. Linton literally dropped what he was doing, got out a few tools and, in less than ten minutes, he had adjusted the fender perfectly, thereby correcting a door-opening problem that had plagued me for quite some time. AND his price was exceptionally reasonable. Where else can you find service like that? I guess I don’t need to say where I’ll continue to bring my cars in the future!

Just awful unprofessional service. I have not been this regretful in a long time, especially after my best friend pleaded to me to take my car to the Toyota dealer. Anyway, this place jacks prices up due to the neighborhood (mostly wealthy to outright rich). My experience was a true price gouge, but since my car was already in the shop and I was 5 miles away, I agreed to let them do the work (totally my fault). But, I did asked the guy to pledge that the work would be done right. His response: "Always". Well that was a lie. Now my car is making all kinds of creepy sounds. The ride is still bumpy and the brake job makes odd noises when you stop. Save yourself a lot of headache and heed my warning. Run, don't walk, to another repair shop. This place is not a quality shop. They don't even bother responding to negative reviews, because there is too many. In the end, I blame myself. I took my car there and I approved the work. I got a bad deal and they did terrible work. (that part is on them) Please don't give them any of hard-earned dollars. Not worth it.

I wanted to wait to see how the repairs I received here worked out. Good news! My car is still running great. My car broke down nearby this place and I limped in to their parking lot and left the key in the drop box. They have a website that shows that they accept overnight and weekend vehicles, which was a reason why I dropped my car off there. I lucked out, because these guys did a great job. They were very clear about what was wrong when they called me, and they gave me good advice about the timing belt being changed. It's been a few long driving trips and my car is still running well and not overheating. They did a great job and if I lived closer to them, I'd take my car there again. John Kennedy

My wife and I have been taking our cars to Chantilly Automotive for over 5 years now at the recommendation of a co-worker. I have met with Bill, the owner, and Chris and Sonny; each of them has been fair, knowledgeable, and courteous every time we have taken our cars there. I think they deserve much better than the 2 and 1 star ratings they received several years ago. They used to offer a shuttle service to my work a few years ago, but had to cut back when the recession hit. However, my wife and I make it work to take our cars there because they are so reliable.

My 2001 Honda Accord needed a lot of work done. Went to the dealer and received an astronomical estimate of over @2000 for everything. My neighbor highly recommended sharing the estimate with Moshe first and so glad I did. He was able to do all the work for $1100. He is honest and professional. The work was done over two days and I couldn't be more pleased. Great independent shop!

This place was recommended to me by a near by shop which I have gone to in the past since they were not able to service my vehicle at the time. Overall my experience was wonderful. I was greeted by friendly staff who were efficient and professional. The individual assisting me was attentive and he explained things in simple terms since I am not too familiar with service/mechanical issues concerning cars. I would definitely recommend this shop to my friends and family and anyone in need of a quality shop.?
