I have been taking my Ford Explorer to Eric for several years whenever I need things fixed. He has always treated me with respect and has always been very helpful on explaining what needed to be done and the most economical way to get there. My Ford is an older Ford, but is still in really good condition. I plan to drive it into the ground and will always have Eric do the repair work on it. I was a little concerned sending my college age daughter to the first repair she has needed for the used SAAB we found her over a year ago. While the car has been a gem, older parts sometimes wear out. I was impressed by their professionalism and the accuracy and honesty of their estimate and diagnosis. You hear stories about some shops taking advantage of young drivers, selling them repairs they don't need - but not these guys. These guys at Scanwest Autosport were totally professional, courteous, patient, and great at making my daughter feel comfortable in getting her automobile repaired, and repaired correctly. Fixed my bad brakes that were making noise. They fixed it and they work great. Car seems to stop better then ever. Also found a screw in my tire and fixed that before it was a bigger problem.

I took my 95 Ford f150 here on the recommendation of Discount Tire for an alignment. I had replaced the entire front end linkage and the truck REALLY needed an alignment after that! They did the work as asked. I picked up the truck and they told me that things weren't really aligned because I needed a new pitman arm. I told them I'd be back in a few weeks. A few weeks or so later, I made an appointment to have the pitman arm replaced and the truck realigned. This was strategic on my part as it would immediately follow me replacing the front springs and shocks. I drop the car off, I pick it up and the camber looks insane. Must have been 5 to 10 degrees positive! VERY noticeable with the naked eye. I, of course, asked about the camber and was told that camber is not adjustable on the Ford twin I beam suspension. I paid my bill and went home where I did some research. Here's what I discovered... There is a camber bushing that needs to replaced on the twin I beam suspension. Correcting the camber is expensive (the bushings are about $60 each retail) but hardly impossible. Further, I learned that the pitman arm is a non-wearable item on a 95 F150. I am not seeking my money back from them. I made the mistake of trusting them and my penance is being out that money. Instead, when I say a place where I can write a review of this shop, I do. I want to tell everybody that these guys have no clue what they're doing. I didn't bring in anything bizarre or exotic, just a mid-90's Ford truck, something around 1 million of these things were built. This is not a rare car at all! This shop couldn't perform a simple task on a common vehicle and didn't know what they didn't know. Alternatively, they knew that they didn't do the job and simply lied to me.

Monte did a quick check, told me the exact price. Installed to new Coils & Spark Plug Assemblies. The Speed Sensor Checked out okay so he reset the Check Engine Light. He gave me an exact quote before he started the work. He got the work done quickly and I paid him. He came to my location. Now my V-10 is purring like a kitten. Monte is completely competent, his prices of very compettive and will definitely use him again. I have already recommended him to two of my friends with RV's. I give Monte 6 Stars!

DO NOT RECOMMEND. I took my car in to get tires changed over. I have low profile tires and they are difficult to mount but I expected a professional business to know how. Boy was I wrong. I got the car back and all 4 rims were scratched all the way around the lip. I went and got the manager and he said he was the one that mounted these. He then started saying look at how dirty the rims were and I obviously didnt take care of them so I had probably done that. I was getting so angry I just walked away and later just decided to cut my loses and let it go. 2 Months later I had 2 tires go flat on me. I had it towed to the closest shop and they took a look and said Wow the beads on the inside and out were damaged because of improper mounting. I went back to Midas and showed them the other shops written statement and said all I wanted was reimbursed for the tow and the new tires that was put on. He blew me off and said no. Long story short, I would not trust them with my car and the manager does not care about customer service or satisfaction.
