This is one of the best shops in town. I have been going to them for years. I know cars, I can fix cars. It killed me when I came to the realization that I don't have the time to mess with that sort of thing anymore and had to trust someone else to be honest and competent with my vehicles. This was my third visit to Shadow Mountain Auto Service! I have two vintage cars and my daily driver! I moved into my home nearby one year ago and I was fortunate to find such a reputable repair shop! Curt and Graham once again went out of their way to make sure the car was properly repaired. They kept me informed on the progress and the cost so there were no unexpected surprises! I am very pleased and trust them explicitly and would highly recommend them and I am very fussy with my cars! I needed a tire quick, in a hurry. Didn't want to spend too much money or time for it. Went to the NE corner of I-17 and Glendale Ave. There were several cars there before me. I was on a jack and tire off in less than 15 minutes. They had several tires that I could use that were recommended by the manufacturer. I choose one that closely resembled the remaining three tires. The tires was put on the rim, balanced and on my car in no time after making my selection. I was out the door for $20.00 and about half an hour later. That tire outlasted the other three tires and ended up using it as the spare. I'm not saying that you too will be as lucky as I with your used tire purchase. But for $20.00 and quick service if the tire lasts three months you've made out like a bandit. Sure beats the wait at Big O or Discount Tires, just saying.

I have been taking my 2009 Hyundai Elantra here for years and always have a pleasant experience. They are great at communicating, and when my car needed to stay for a couple of days, they graciously provided a "loaner" at no charge. And I always enjoy looking at the latest artist installation on the walls while I am there (I've been tempted to buy a couple of pieces once or twice!) I know there's the old cliche that women are taken advantage of at repair shops because we generally don't know a lot about cars, but with a woman owner - who is a mechanic herself - and 90-percent women employees (including a working mechanic), I always feel like I'm getting the straight story, explained to me in a way that I can understand!
