I can't say enough about Chester's. My Daughter at Elon University had some issues with our Audi - Chester spent a lot of time diagnosing the problem found out it was a major issue with the cam shaft. I checked online and found out it was covered under a 10 year Audi extended warranty. I had the car towed to Audi of Greensboro. I asked Chester what I owed him...he didn't charge me! Wow - If we weren't three hours away I would take all my cars there. Nice honest and competent.

I have been taking my 2009 Hyundai Elantra here for years and always have a pleasant experience. They are great at communicating, and when my car needed to stay for a couple of days, they graciously provided a "loaner" at no charge. And I always enjoy looking at the latest artist installation on the walls while I am there (I've been tempted to buy a couple of pieces once or twice!) I know there's the old cliche that women are taken advantage of at repair shops because we generally don't know a lot about cars, but with a woman owner - who is a mechanic herself - and 90-percent women employees (including a working mechanic), I always feel like I'm getting the straight story, explained to me in a way that I can understand! THIS is the place to go for honest automotive work. I have been coming here since 2007 for oil changes, car battery, emissions and other various work over the years. I have referred two friends to this shop and both have thanked me profusely for doing so. I cannot recommend this place enough. This is the real deal and they will not give you the run around.

This was my third visit to Shadow Mountain Auto Service! I have two vintage cars and my daily driver! I moved into my home nearby one year ago and I was fortunate to find such a reputable repair shop! Curt and Graham once again went out of their way to make sure the car was properly repaired. They kept me informed on the progress and the cost so there were no unexpected surprises! I am very pleased and trust them explicitly and would highly recommend them and I am very fussy with my cars! I had to have my Jeep towed to an Auto Repair shop and I found them on Google.com and came with good reviews. I dealt with the manager, Mitchell Rosowitz and he shot me straight and gave me a price for repairs and recommendations for other repairs needed without pressure. I only had so much money to work with so Mitchell gave me a discount and All is good with my Jeep!!

I went in for a power steering leak. They said my rack and pinion needed replaced. They misquoted me the price. Held my car for ransom 5 days. Would not put my old one back on because they damaged it. They charged me 2000.00 to get my car back. A power steering leak turned into 2000.00 job. They are liars, and argument. Both Ray and Greg.

Sat on my car for months and never finished work place is a huge scam

2 BAD RECENT EXPERIENCES in a row at this place at the 4115 E Chandler blvd location...You go in for routine oil changes and every single time they discover something else supposedly "wrong" with your car, big SCAM...the time before last a few months ago the mechanic "discovered" a hole in my radiator with missing fluid...this was the EXACT same repair with no variation they did only 10 months earlier there, and I had put less than two thousand miles on the car since the original repair. In discussion, the mechanic there admitted the prior mechanic there probably used bad parts or the mechanic who did the original repair there messed up, but they still charged me full cost again to repair it regardless, over one thousand dollars paid a second time for the same repair done improperly the first time there. Then I bring the car in with an air conditioning problem last week and they bang me for almost $800.00, and the air conditioning still doesn't work...when I complained the manager at the front desk mouthed off at me and I tore him a new one and demanded they repair it correctly and not charge me another dime or I'd take them to court. They begrudgingly complied. Do yourself a favor...AVOID THIS PLACE FOR REPAIRS!!!!!!

Found them through a friend. I had a leaking brake line in the ABS of my BMW 540i. Took my car there yesterday. They did a great job in fixing that in an absolutely amazing price. And they also did a free inspection of my car and told me about the probs that I might face in future. They are not at all pushy about selling their services. I am really impressed with their service. Now I know this is the place to take my car for any service that it needs!!!!

If honesty and fairness is what you are looking for, look no further. I have taken a number of vehicles to Dan and never been disappointed. He has addressed everything from oil changes, to suspension, AC, exhaust, and cooling issues. Everybody I have recommended has had positive experiences as well.
