Transmission repair service near Apple Valley, CA

This the only shop I take my car to. It's not cheap but the best service and mechanics I've found here in AV. This is a AAA shop. Never a mistake made!

My wife and I want to thank Darrin and his team for helping us save thousands of dollars from purchasing a vehicle from Valley Hi Toyota Scion. We drove from Las Vegas to purchase a vehicle when we came upon Big Apple Automotive. We asked Darrin if he could do an inspection of the vehicle prior to purchasing it. Although they were busy, Darrin had no problem looking at vehicle immediately. They discovered some very costly repairs and sensors that came up. We informed the dealership of the issues, but they did not want to hear about the problems. Due to their lack of integrity and customer service, we did not purchase the vehicle. Also, I discovered a nail in my tire and Darrin and his team fixed it at no charge. I appreciate the customer service Darrin gave us and would highly recommend their services for your automotive needs. Chuck B

Kay Jay's is the go-to auto repair in the high desert. They offer amazing customer service and they are very fair on their prices. Most importantly they are a mechanic that you can trust.

I took my Isuzu Trooper to this guy and had to take it back 3 times because it continued to leave me stranded. I had to pay for two tow trucks to get it back to the shop. I was lucky enough that a friend towed it back on his flat bed the third time. The last time I took it in, the owner told me that he would have to send the transmission to a "specialist" because he didn't have the equipment necessary to fix the problem. A "specialist"...I thought that he was a transmission specialist! I loss $1,500 dollars because of his incompetence. I sold my truck and the buyer returned it the next day when the transmission gave out driving down the hill! I sold the truck again, but instead of $9,500, I got $8,000 for it from a different buyer. This guy and his shop are a joke. Why didn't he tell me that he didn't have the proper equipment to begin with?! I should have taken my business to Central Transmission!

Eddie Fierro owner of Mobile Mechanics Team its a criminal be careful with this individual , i was assaulted by him at gun point and stole my wallet later arrested by victorville sheriffs department , please refer to public records dated 11/9/18. i have witness his a few of his scams with his clients how he over charges for service never preformed on vehicles specially wit big business . this individual its out of control and must be put away for sure and removed from the high desert . if i can be any help to assist you on any case or claim that you like to file please contact me and ill be more than happy to assist you.

Very poor business practices, they do not protect your property and when something happens they do not want to take any responsibility for the damage. I took my truck in to them, due to a bad transmission. They told me it would need a new rebuilt transmission and it would cost $ 2700.00 to do it. I told them I did not have the money and it would be a few weeks before I had the money. They told me that was ok, I could leave it there they would do the work and then I could pick it back up when I had the money. They told me they had plenty of room to keep the truck there rather than bring it back when I had the money to do the work. While my truck was there it got damaged, someone hit the rear driver fender and damaged the fiberglass fender. I picked up the truck and drove it to Riverside, and that evening I noticed the damage. The first thing the next morning I took it back to them he said that they would review there cameras to see how and when the damage occurred. I waited almost a week and they never got back to me to let me know what they found. I went in to see about the damage and he said that the cameras did not show anything. Rather than calling me to let me know he just figured I would go away. I am very disappointed in there actions. This not only makes me mad, but he has also lost additional work as I have another truck that needs a transmission and they will never get that work as A result of all the hassle they have put me through. If you are going to take your vehicle to them be forewarned they do not car it they damage your vehicle. Very poor business practices..... I am telling everybody to go elsewhere to have there vehicles repaired. As this is a transmission most of the time you will have to leave your vehicle there a days at a time and a lot can and does happen there.

Had a blow out on I 15 and was able to get to Barstow. Looked up tire places and based on the reviews chose American Tire Depot. The guys were so nice and knowledgeable got us taken care and did so very quickly! Would use these guys anytime we are close to Barstow! Christie Linz

They are not BBB accredited! They do not abide by their warranties/ contracts! They are sketchy! I was recommended to P&G from sals auto mechanic in fontana, I have a toyota celica Gt 01 that had sucked up water into the intake. I needed a new engine. Sal had told me that this was the place to go. Alex, the owner had quoted me a fair price to install a new 1zz motor (the same kind my car comes with originally) he also said he could switch the position of my intake so that it wouldn't suck up water again.(He didn't) The job was to take 7 days and cost me $2200 with a 1 year or 12,000 mile warranty on all parts and labor. However, upon initial payment of $1100 and 12 days later. I called Alex and he said I needed a new air control valve because the car wouldn't idle right, he also said he needed to install a new "knock sensor", something I've never heard of before. It would cost me an additional $250 and another day of work, I said okay. I just wanted my car fixed. Finally after about 12 days and after I paid the $1450 I got my car back, I understand that cars with new engines have a "break in" period of 3 or 4 months for it be in top condition; so I made sure to drive with caution and made sure not to accelerate over 3000 rpms in between gears. After 1 month, my check engine light came on and my temp was spiking. I took it back to Alex and he said I needed a new temp coolant sensor. I paid $125 for the part and he installed the part. The problem did not go away. Not even a day later the light came back on and he said it was suppose to be a different sensor. He told me he charge me for this new mystery sensor, but after he installed it the problem seemed to be gone. I drove my car for 2 months before I got an oil leak. I took it back and Alex told me it would cost $600 for a new head gasket and seals, he also said that he would not cover it under the warranty because it was because of overheating due to the temperature coolant sensor, the same one that he installed 2 months before! Be warned! This company is not BBB accredited! They are sketchy! And they do not abide by their warranties/ contracts!

really nice guy! he knows his cars especially specific cars and what goes wrong. they were budget friendly, i will go back! 5 stars
