Engine repair service near Kagel Canyon, CA

This mechanic is a rip off he charged me 900.00 to fix my power steering pump and replace the RACK AND PINION AFTER I PAID FOR THE PUMP WITH MY CREDIT CARD .3 months later the car would not u turn and had steering issues ,after numerouse excuses ( at least 20 re..dr appointments ,wife sick,speeding ticket,ect ect no response his mail box is always full you can only text and he takes a day or two to get back to you .I left car at his residence ,after 3 weeks of no response i checked to see how the car was coming along come to find out he never even tried to fix ! just used the car as his personal vehicle I know this because it had a infant car seat strapped in the back,empty of gas after i left it 1/2 full,clothes in trunk .laptop in trunk and cigarette ashes and fast food trash left inside ,As well as the door for the gas cap completly missing ( i found the door in trunk)And the car was left in driveway when he wasn't joy riding in it for three weeks with the sprinklers on leaving hard water spots front to back. I took the car to a reputable mechanic and he fixed for another 400.00 You would be crazy to hire this guy.

Great job great price. The only complaint is that they raised the final price once the job was done, not by a lot but I don't like those tactics. Anyway, the work was great, I would recommend them.

Mark and all the folks at Preferred Auto are the best. Since i have had a couple German cars lately i haven't been there for a year or two. When i brought in a used Acura for them to check before i bought, they did an extremely thorough check, and though it was low miles, the car was older and needed more work than i wished to do. The charge was more than reasonable, i would have been happy even if it had been 50% higher for the work done. They are always honest and fair and look out for their customers first. They clearly know that is what has made them so successful. THE BEST! Wish they worked on German sheet metal!! Howard Kaplan

Came here because I had a flat tire. But not only that I needed an oil change so this individual camilo took care of me really fast. Hubert has always been good on communicating with me and telling me when something is not needed. I moved to the south bay over 10 years ago and he's always been my 1st call for any of our auto needs. I highly recommend. They specialize in Amsoil and that all I run on my wife's Honda and my F350. Don't get me wrong they have a vary of supplies.

The service at Rick's was terrific! I was on my way to take my son back to UC Irvine from Agoura when my battery and engine lights came on. It turns out I needed a new alternator and belts. Rick went out of his way to accomodate my schedule. He fixed my car promptly which enabled me to get my son back to UCI to attend class that afternoon. What I love about this place is that they are courteous and helpful. I called and spoke w/ Bill the manager told him my issue, brought my car in and because it was just a minor issue I was in and out in about 30 mins or less!!! I will definitely take my car back there!

Went here on a referral with a coupon to have AC service. Mechanic did a good job , didn't try to up charge me. Honesty and integrity very much appreciated don't find that with a lot of mechanics these days!

12/14/2011 I just came from the shop and it is good news. My engine is nearly finished. Aaron took me in the back to check out the progress. WOW!! This engine is spotless. It looks brand new. Incredible. It’s too early to give Hi-Tec two thumbs up but if it runs as good as it looks I’m going to be happy. Aaron say’s the team should be done this week and he is going to call me. The car is in great shape otherwise, straight body no dents clean interior. So, I look at all the options and decide that having the engine rebuilt “COULD” be the best option. I called a few shops and looked into the best place to have the work done. Then I called Hi-Tech engine in Gardena. I spoke with Aaron and he seemed very confident that they could take care of me. I mean the guy knew everything about my engine and reassured me that Hi-Tech specialized in engine rebuilding. So, the next day I had my car towed in and Aaron gave me a tour of the shop. Well, this is not a simple repair shop. Hi-Tech is better described as an engine-rebuilding factory. They have a full-blown specialty machine shop that appears to be well staffed. They have a large inventory of replacement parts and I noted the presence multiple engines in various stages of rebuild. They have a special area for engine install, in short everything looked good. Aaron told me that the job should take between five and ten working days and would include a 1year/12,000 mile warranty. I decide to trust him and at th
