I used to go to a mechanic close to my house and discovered that they usually did not completely fix the problem and kept repeating that my car is old and will not last very long. That was three years ago. I started going to Lima Auto and found out that driving a little bit is definitely worthwhile. Chris and Mike are honest and reliable in all they do. If you come in with a problem and they deem it minor, they let you know. They never exaggerate the problem and their cost is reasonable. They are courteous and work with integrity. If and when I have mechanical/car issues, I really stopped worrying because I know and trust Chris and Mike to help me.

A Godsend. My car broke down in LA while I was on a trip from N. Cal.. One call to Ray, a complete stranger to me, and my anxieties were put to ease. He took my car in right away and fixed it as good as new. Even though he could have charged me anything and I would have paid it, the job was done for less than the original, very reasonable quote. Let me tell you about JCW Auto Repair. On 8/9/2024 I was traveling from Berkeley CA after visiting my son, daughter in law and toddler grandson back to my home in north coastal San Diego. I had my 5 month old Corgi puppy with me, (she was a champ the entire trip). I noticed during the grapevine approaching the LA National Forrest the engine seemed to be working hard. I saw freeway signs recommending drivers turn off their AC during the steep grades and incline and I did so. Google maps redirected me to go through Pasadena to SD vs LA as LA rush hour traffic was slammed on Friday. Travel slowed considerably and I noticed my temperature gauge starting to rise in the stop and go traffic. I turned off the AC again, it was 107 degrees outside. Across the freeway from me was a Subaru car dealership, but it was now 5:01 and I know the service dept would be closed. I took the very next exit as I could see it was an industrial area and there had to be something there. I pulled over in some shade to let the car temp gauge to cool down. I saw the car repair shops were all closed. I thought about calling AAA, but what could they do other than tow me? I called my brother in law in SD, he had me pop the hood and check the coolant which was almost empty. He directed me to drive a few miles just west of my location to an O'Reilly auto parts store and he would coach me how to add the coolant. I started to drive about a block and found JCW Auto repair with the bay doors still open. It was clear everyone was closing up but stayed to help me. Jed immediately went to work, I popped the hood, he could smell the radiator heat. Jed immediately noticed my radiator cap was broken. I explained I had taken my Subaru to the dealership two days prior to my road trip to have the oil changed, tires rotated and the fluids all checked. Jed said the service department should have caught this broken radiator cap. Two jugs of coolant. Jed tried to find a used radiator cap that would work, he finally took one off his own personal vehicle that fit my Subaru. Jed cautioned me to drive the rest of the way to SD at normal speeds with no AC. It was blazing hot out there. He even gave me a jug of water if the temp gauge started to rise again and explained do not open the cap until it cools down. Jed seemed genuinely concerned and worried but felt I should be able to make it to San Diego if I take it easy. I asked Jed how much I owed him and Jed told me to give him whatever I thought was right. I am a widow traveling alone, I am beyond grateful for Jed dropping what he was doing to take care of me and get me on my way. He had along day at work and was ready to go home. Jed really saved me and my little puppy. He saved me an expensive repair bill or even my car breaking down on the freeway. I shudder at the danger of that. My sons and my family are exceptionally grateful too. It should be noted when I got to San Clemente I turned the AC on and the temperature gauge never moved from the middle center line. It was so chilly in the cabin my fingers and feet were numb with cold air. I would definitely, most assuredly take my vehicles to JCW Auto repair for all my service needs and might even drive to Azusa from SD for such quality excellence in service. This is the America I grew up in, where there was honesty, integrity and high moral character among our car mechanic professionals, where a handshake was considered to have as much value associated with it as a man giving his word of honor. We moved to southern California in 1992 and a couple coworkers recommended Wards to us. We started taking our cars there, and would never go anywhere else now. They are low key and never try to sell us something we don't need, they're friendly, reasonable, and happy to give us a ride to or from the house even though we don't live close to the shop. They have saved us money numerous times by telling us when something is still under warranty and could be fixed for free at the dealership; they could have done the work, charged us, and we'd have never been the wiser. But that's not the way they do business! Our daughter had car trouble on a trip and her car was towed to the nearest garage. She didn't understand what they were telling her needed to be done so she called Jim to ask his advice. He offered to call and speak with them himself and then explain the problem to her in lay terms and help her decide what to do--no charge for his time even though he got nothing out of it. Over the years, we've taken several different brands and styles of cars to them and they've never failed us. We wouldn't trust our cars to anyone else's care! They are the absolute top of their field.

I have always taken my vehicles to the dealers for service but this place came highly recommended and so I gave it a try. The service and price were great. The owner and office staff are friendly and very knowledgeable and the price savings when compared to the dealership is significant! Bonita P

This company doesn’t take responsibility for damage caused by negligence of their mechanics. After four tows back and forth to their shop and a fifth to the shop that actually fixed the problem they don’t want to pay for what it costs to fix what was damaged caused at their shop, instead just want to offer a refund. This is like if they didn’t fix your brakes properly and you crash, they would just offer a refund on the brake job and not the damage caused by their negligence. It cost $650 to repair what their mechanic messed up and they want to offer me a $380 refund. Be aware, this company takes no responsibility for their actions. Off to small claims I go...

one of the worst feelings as a car owner is when that red "check engine" light appears...ugh. i brought my truck in today knowing that robert & his crew would be honest with me and let me know if any repairs were truly needed. i feared it was my alternator, a very costly repair... turns out it wasnt, and was related to the ignition box which has been replaced earlier that morning. no repairs were needed! big sigh of relief! i continue to give this business my loyalty because i trust them. bonus is that you get a complimentary car wash with your service. win! win! thank you again silver star !!!

This place is a scam and rip me off.... took my car in for not starting. they piggy back a connector to my fuel pump relay and charged me for something that it was not even replaced!!!! found out from another shop when the car have the same issues and symptoms. DON'T TAKE TO THIS PLACE!!! call them and never call me back. DO NOT TAKE TO THIS PLACE!! THEY RIP PEOPLE OFF THE OWNER IS A CROOK!!!

I brought my BMW Z4 here and had excellent service! The entire experience was positive. They are upfront with costs, and I paid less than what they estimated. I saved $1000.00 from the dealer's quote. I was able to talk directly with the mechanic and the owner. They really care about providing quality service and making sure the customer is happy. A few days after the repairs were completed, my car began stalling so I called them. The issue was not related to what they had done, but they came and rescued me from the side of the road, took the car in, found the problem, repaired it and only charged me for the part. No labor charge! I highly recommend Schnider Motors for your BMW repairs!!! I know I will definitely return for any and all of my BMWs service.

Came here because I had a flat tire. But not only that I needed an oil change so this individual camilo took care of me really fast. My wife’s expedition blew a heater hose while at Coffee Bean with steam coming out from under the hood she drove next door to American Tire. The guys “T” as in Mr. T was very helpful, even assisting her a tow to the dealer through AAA (garages don’t typically assist you going elsewhere, but they were helpful). Upon arriving to assess the problem I realized the “new” heater hoses are not hoses at all but rather multisegment manifolds. I felt comfortable with everything explained, they confirmed that the parts were available and it would be done by the end of day and it was. Very happy with the service and how we were treated. 5 star all the way!

My sons Mustang was in our garage seems like forever we tried to get it towed to a shop but they wouldnt send a flat bed tow truck even when we request one about 3xs so my husband decided to put the fuel pump in himself while at the Auto Zone my husband met Ali and Ali gave him some advice and his ph# and said that he was mobile.We then decided to have Ali put the pump in. You can tell he KNOWS what he's doing/talking about.Ali had the fuel pump in it didn't take him long at all. And the price was GREAT!! From now on Ali will be our Mechanic and no one else!! THANK YOU ALI!!!
