Electrical repair service near Los Gatos, CA

I had been going to this shop for 15 years. Until recently (last 6 years) they have been great. Last year I was charged $2,700.00 for a brake repair and a 60,000 tune up and some mystery belt and hose repair due to "rodent damage". Recently I returned because the car wasn't starting correctly and using excess fuel. They charged me $130.00 for a diagnostic and an oil change I asked them NOT to do. I drove my car to the dealer who found the air filter compartment left open. The dealer has since found belts that were never changed, and re-programmed my car's computer at no cost. The dealer reviewed my work order (which was missing some important information that Integrity could NOT print out for me because the computer wasn't working) from Integrity and said I was over-charged 100-125%. The last visit to Integrity I was told my car had a blown head gasket and needed a new engine, but the dealer found the car to be in perfect working order except for the open air filter compartment. This place is full of incompetent, lying scammers. If you have money to toss away, give it to them, but take your car else where if you want it fixed. One star is one too many. AAA certified? I think not.

I discovered Auto Care Specialist after too many years of being a dedicated dealership customer because I wanted to insure my car warranty was maintained. I took my car in to Auto Care Specialist today for basic service, and fully expected to have the oil, oil filter, air filter and lube done. When Chris contacted me to let me know that my car was in great condition and only needed the power steering fluid flushed, I asked "What about the oil and oil filter, and air filter?" Chris said "Not needed at this time!" Call me surprised by that news, as my car's oil and oil filter were always changed, every 6, 000 miles, and then always seemed to need something else done/replaced that increased the service cost well beyond what I anticipated, by the dealership. How refreshing to be not taken advantage of, and to have only the necessary work done on my car! Great and prompt service. It may have taken me too many years to find this quality auto service center, however, I am thrilled to know that my car care needs will be taken care of, without my needing to take a 2nd out on my house! Tom and the gang at PV Garage have performed services on my wife's Mercedes ... cleaning out a nasty rat's nest under the hood and repairing the wires they chewed through ... and most recently a brake job on my GMC Yukon. They are easy to work with, very fair, great supporters of the community and all around good guys. Highly recommend. Steve F.

I started by taking my Honda here just for a cheap oil change, but when I had other issues, I returned. Issac is unfailingly polite and helpful, and when I had a "check engine light" problem, he told me it was best to try the small and inexpensive fix first, which he did. He also researched the problem on the web, and showed me a recall which may have contributed to the problem. Issac is a born mechanic- he just knows cars! I also feel that he is as honest as the day is long. I know that many people think all mechanics are cheats, but I also know people want their car fixed for a song, or do not value a workers time and ask for lots of "freebies" or at least free advice.
