Star Auto Service is amazing. They really do the job right and take care of their customers. From the shuttle service to calling and giving me updates, I really appreciate their attention to detail. They even gave me a loaner car -- a Mustang which is considerably cooler than the minivan I left for repair. I've had a problem with an automatic side door that wouldn't stay open. The dealer spent an entire day and insisted I'd have to replace the whole door. I brought it to Star Auto and they were able to fix it for a fraction of the cost. Established in 1992. This business is a family owned and operated auto repair shop. In 1991 Alfonso Gonzalez left his regular day job as an auto mechanic to work on cars at home. Just having a couple of customers a day helped him pay the bills and his recently purchased home. In 1992 his amount of customers grew and was able to open his official licensed auto repair facility in the city of Hawthorne CA, for the next 5 years the businesses boomed from one bay to a 3 bay, 1500 square foot facility, not having enough room he was forced to move to a 2500 square shop in Inglewood, CA. Ten years later he moved to 1129 S. La Brea. Inglewood CA. with 10,000 square foot lot and 4 employees Universal Auto Service still offers great prices and an awesome customer service.

What I love about this place is that they are courteous and helpful. I called and spoke w/ Bill the manager told him my issue, brought my car in and because it was just a minor issue I was in and out in about 30 mins or less!!! I will definitely take my car back there!

OET had my problem diagnosed within two hours and had my car back to me within the same day. I was shocked when I was told that the problem was minor. My repair cost substantially less than I expected. I knew then, that I had finally found an honest mechanic.

Went here on a referral with a coupon to have AC service. Mechanic did a good job , didn't try to up charge me. Honesty and integrity very much appreciated don't find that with a lot of mechanics these days!
