I CANNOT express enough how grateful the guys at American Tire Depot have been to me. As a single woman who knows virtually nothing about cars, I am so grateful to these gentlemen who have treated me in the same manner that I know they would want someone to treat their mothers, wives or sisters. They have kept my older car running and pieced together many times without overcharging or even charging me (for the small things) at all. I've also seen them do the same for men as well. We went through 3 different mechanics including the Mercedes Service Department before going to Gold Star. Mike diagnosed the problem with no charge, and his findings were very accurate. We had spend close to $2000 fixing what wasn't even the issue, even Mercedes charging us 280 for diagnosis still couldn't fix the issue. I am so happy and grateful to Mike, he was so generous, professional, experienced, and courteous, we've finally found an honest and extremely experienced mechanic. I will recommend Gold Star to all my friends and family. I rate Gold Star a 10!!!!!!!

Established in 1992. This business is a family owned and operated auto repair shop. In 1991 Alfonso Gonzalez left his regular day job as an auto mechanic to work on cars at home. Just having a couple of customers a day helped him pay the bills and his recently purchased home. In 1992 his amount of customers grew and was able to open his official licensed auto repair facility in the city of Hawthorne CA, for the next 5 years the businesses boomed from one bay to a 3 bay, 1500 square foot facility, not having enough room he was forced to move to a 2500 square shop in Inglewood, CA. Ten years later he moved to 1129 S. La Brea. Inglewood CA. with 10,000 square foot lot and 4 employees Universal Auto Service still offers great prices and an awesome customer service.

Owners, chief mechanic Chris is a native of Sweeden where he learned from the Volvo factory the highly technical applications of diagnostic techniques fixing Volvo automotive as well as the Saabs. Chris & his parents including cousin Jim worked at the Volvo factory. The mechanics working at Bertone has one common goal, customer satisfaction. i really couldn't ask better, the service was great the mechanics were so friendly and showed me the exact problem. I then got invited into the waiting room where they put a movie of my choice and got the service i ever wished for, the price was excellent and very cheap i am definitely going to return to Del Rey Brakes & Alignment soon.
