Holland Car Care is consistently friendly and competent. I used to take my BMW to the local BMW dealership for maintenance, but I switched to Holland Car Care years ago and intend to stay with them forever. Nice and welcoming staff; great online scheduling. Very reliable. Never upselling. Kudos.

Not only superior trusted car service, but staff that goes the extra mile to build a great biz-customer relationship. I had to drop my car off before and they offered and gave me a ride to my home when I told them I would be walking. But yes more importantly a car service/repair you can trust that is affordable.

I have used A+ for my cars for a number of years now. The work is always done correctly, on time and I am treated politely. They explain things to me in terms I understand. A huge plus is the ride TO and FROM work so that I am not bothering colleagues to get a ride. I recently had to use the dealership and it reminded me why I go to A+ instead, polite, on time and professional.

I brought my BMW into Holland to assess an issue that I was having with my transmission. After the assessment, Holland said that I needed a new transmission, which would cost approximately $8,000.00. I got a 2nd opinion from another repair shop and they said that Holland was grossly incorrect and that my problem was only a minor computer issue. It was an easy fix, my car runs fine now, and the cost was a hundred bucks. I am terribly upset that Holland presumed that I should replace my entire transmission and spend $8000 when it was only a small issue with my car computer that should have been diagnosed correctly in the first place. I trusted Holland and I was misled.

I discovered Auto Care Specialist after too many years of being a dedicated dealership customer because I wanted to insure my car warranty was maintained. I took my car in to Auto Care Specialist today for basic service, and fully expected to have the oil, oil filter, air filter and lube done. When Chris contacted me to let me know that my car was in great condition and only needed the power steering fluid flushed, I asked "What about the oil and oil filter, and air filter?" Chris said "Not needed at this time!" Call me surprised by that news, as my car's oil and oil filter were always changed, every 6, 000 miles, and then always seemed to need something else done/replaced that increased the service cost well beyond what I anticipated, by the dealership. How refreshing to be not taken advantage of, and to have only the necessary work done on my car! Great and prompt service. It may have taken me too many years to find this quality auto service center, however, I am thrilled to know that my car care needs will be taken care of, without my needing to take a 2nd out on my house! I had problem with the engine with my Mercedes and was cautioned about visiting a dealership. A friend recommended this shop and I drove there .Although it was far from San Jose I am glad I did that . They did a good job and fast and were very courteous... I am very happy with their workmanship and reasonable prices. I just wanted to share my good experience with everyone. Two thumbs up! Azar S.

The BEST tire place! The atmosphere of the business is very relaxed and friendly, and they make sure that if you decide to wait there, you're totally comfortable doing so. But more importantly, they're fast and efficient, polite and courteous, and have good pricing with no tricksy upselling. I've bought tires here and had them checked just for tire pressure; nobody made me feel dumb for requesting that simple service. The wonderful person who helped me today was Kurt, and if you ever get to deal with him, he's an angel. He was super kind, knowledgeable, and respectful. He's a huge part of why Redwood General Tire will continue to get my business for years to come.

I took in my 2007 Nissan Murano because the dealership said I had both exhaust manifolds cracked and leaking. Niki and his team discovered that I really only needed one replaced and the other would be fine for a few more years. This saved me a lot of money and I never would have known the difference! I appreciate the honesty. The other thing to mention was that they ran into some issues with the replacement because the old one was so beat up. Niki said it would take another day to complete, but I was going out of town with my family. He and one of his mechanics worked extra hard and got it done in time. Very good service! -Patrick Naylon

I brought in my 1987 Dodge B150 van. Yes, a really old van that wouldn't pass smog. A "gross polluter" per the smog shop. Michele and Dennis worked on my car diligently to figure out what the issue was. Turns out the timing was way off. After 2nd smog test, the van no.'s were really good to a low emissions vehicle. Yeah! Dennis also pointed out that my steering column was very loose. In the past, I've been told that the whole steering column needs to be replaced. But here at GF Automotive, it might be repaired, saving me a whole lot of money. GF is an honest auto mechanic shop. Hard to come by these days. Thank you Michele and Dennis for all your help!
