The staff was friendly and performed the alignment check quickly. I was concerned about possible frame damage on a used car that I was considering purchasing and they directly addressed my concern about that issue instead of simply telling me the car was aligned well. I recently brought my car in to Chuck Mercier Union 76 because it didn't pass the smog test. I spoke with Gary, and told him my situation. He was more than willing to help me out. He fixed the problem and my car ended up passing the smog test. He is very smart, knowledgeable, and professional when it comes to cars. We have been taking our cars to Clutchmasters for the past year or so and have been robbed. I know sometimes mechanics have pretty hefty charges for minor work but they charged us $125.00 to make a small adjustment to the idle on her CR-V and then it only took them 5 minutes to do this. I had them change my clutch, slave cylinder and master cylinder on my focus and they charged me almost $800.00 for this. After 10 months these parts broke and needed to be replaced again, the warranty was only 6 months. They charged me another $517.00 to replace them the second time. When I got my car back from them the second time it was still not running properly but I will not take my car back there ever again. Trust these reviews because Clutchmasters are definitely thieves.

I thank my lucky stars for this place!! For as long as I've been taking my car to the team here, which is about 6 years now (this was previously a Nappa, with the same team), I have always been listened to genuinely and given considered, expert recommendations for my old car. It's thanks to them that it keeps on going!! Managers Albert, Mitch and the mechanics are top notch, friendly and so helpful! They take the time to listen and explain. At first, having just moved to LA, I used to cross-check their recommendations with a friend who owns a repair shop back where I used to live. Every time, he agreed with the basis for their assessment, plan of action, and price. As an example of their honesty, there was one type of repair that, for the type of car I have, is apparently best done by the dealership, and they told me that up front, rather than just doing the repair themselves without telling me and leaving me with the chance that the car may not work as it should. They have never been pushy and they help me prioritize what needs to be done and what can wait. They have sometimes gone out of their way to help me. The friendliness and reliability with which I'm treated here makes this Napa shop a valuable part of my sense of community here in Hollywood.
