My wife's 1999 Ford Escort had a problem with its timing belt. We took it to a certain blue and gold auto repair shop on the same street and was told our water pump was to blame. Guess what? The Ford Escorts are designed so that the water pump has no contact whatsoever with the timing belt. We were lied to by that shop. We took our car to Jim Paris instead and got great service. They immediately identified the defective timing belt and honored the warranty on it even though we didn't buy it there. They also repaired some associated issues at no additional charge. I highly recommend Jim Paris and I will go there first next time I need car work done.

Well worth the wait... Very busy shop! We had our transmission fail this last weekend. ATEC was not able to get to us for a few days during the snow storm that hit Denver last week. After many attempts we finally got through to them as we found out they had been without power for two day's. We had a friend give us the phone number and we almost gave up waiting to get them to call us back. At first we got upset leaving messages and no return call. We are so glad to get to use this shop and getting to see why so many people are using them. We will be back and thanks to the girl at the front they call her Jes. She kept us up to date with great communications. I recommend this shop and say this with gratitude to them as i could have spent a lot more then they charged to get my vehicle back on the road.

I recently dropped off my 2019 Dodge Charger at Thompson Automotive because the steering began feeling stiff and rigid rather than smooth and effortless. Having some automotive knowledge, I figured this was due to the vehicle's power steering system. I didn't know exactly what type of power steering my vehicle had, as there are a few different options, but I knew that my experience driving the car had worsened. After dropping my vehicle off at Thompson Automotive and having it reviewed by one of their mechanics, I was notified that my vehicle didn't have power steering whatsoever, and thus, there was nothing to be fixed. Even the mechanic who inspected my vehicle reassured me as such, saying there would be nothing to do except add power steering to my vehicle. I insisted the steering was smooth until recently, but the mechanic shrugged off my concerns. Unconvinced, I called a friend who is a mechanic and runs servicing for a Dodge dealership. He reassured me that my vehicle does have power steering and informed me of different reasons why my power steering would be failing. With this in mind, I took my vehicle to a local Dodge dealership for another inspection. They notified me that my power steering rack was leaking fluid and that I would need a new rack and pinion. This was expensive but necessary, and upon receiving my vehicle with a replaced rack and pinion, my steering was back to normal. I'm disappointed in the lack of care and service from Thompson Automotive. I drive my car all the time, and my experience should guide the inspection process when diagnosing an issue. When I say that the steering used to be smooth and is now stiff, the mechanic should seek to understand why such a thing is occurring. How would it be that my car doesn't have power steering if I tell you it used to steer smoothly? Instead, my concerns were shrugged off. As a result, I cannot recommend Thompson Automotive to anyone seeking automotive repairs because of their lack of consideration and thoroughness when looking over my vehicle. At least they didn't charge for the time they spent misdiagnosing my vehicle.

Most of us don't have a full range mechanic on call. You really should write down this contact. Your car is going to have a problem, perhaps major, and you will will find yourself floundering and knowing what to do. I have found the answer. Urban Autocare in Littleton is the best. You will be treated with fairness and courtesy. They understand this this problem is a big deal for the customer and take it seriously. From the start, communication is timely and easy to understand. The repairs are perfect and they go beyond to take care of you. (I had a loose piece on the front bumper that they saw and fixed up for me.) Easy to talk with and always available to provide info. I have used this shop without any issues for a couple years. I get peppered with text messages to bring my car in. When I finally needed an oil change, I made an appointment online. Brought my car to the shop on Quebec and my car and wasn’t on the calendar. The guy at the front desk offered to squeeze my car in, but it would take all day, which is what I was trying to avoid. He actually seemed frustrated with the system and said I needed to call next time. I double-checked the confirmation and I had the correct date, time, and location. So, owners, why are you the last operation during the pandemic that hasn’t figured out online appointments? Really frustrating.

My car entered this shop on August 23, 2022 at 9am. The next day I had an estimate of $6k-$6800k to do the repair. I told them I needed the car with a pretty quick turn around as we were going on a trip September 10-20th and I have a mother with very limited mobility who the vehicle works very well for. Scott said they would try very hard to get it to me by the 9th of September. I follow up to see how progress is going on August 26th as a check in. Scott told me that they would begin breaking down my engine on Monday August 29th. I call September 2nd. Apparently they had done nothing that entire week because Scott presented a plan where the Engine would be broken down on the 5th, put into a shop that grinds down heads on the 6th, and on 7th and 8th other various work would be done to try to get me that vehicle by the 9th before our trip. On September 8th I called to ask did he still think 9th was possible. Scott told me No it was not. I asked where they were on the vehicle and Scott tells me they had broken down the engine a little. So at this juncture they have had my vehicle two weeks and two days with very little done to it. They knew I was going on vacation and would work to finish the job. The following week I called mid-week and he seemed surprised to hear from me. He asked me if I wasn't on vacation. I stated yes but wanted to see how the car was progressing and hoping to have it back when I returned 10 days later. He told me they basically has sorta put it aside as I was on vacation but they would get this car to the head shop as quickly as possible. They were having issues with the head shop because of lack of employees at that place. Now they had earlier told me my car would be in the head shop on the 6th. I got home 12 days later due to an illness. I got no update from them the entire week of September 26th and quite honestly I did not even want to check in because I knew my car would not even have been worked on and did not want to deal with it. I called bright and early on September 26th. They have had my car over a month now. Scott told me they would be getting my car to the head shop on the 27th. I asked when would I get my car after that. He said they would take a day to be done with it and it would take him a day and a half to put it back together. So I said, so Wednesday we should be close to done. He got non-committal and that point and I hung up, knowing I would not be getting my care on Wednesday or Thursday. You know when you know. So I call bright and early today, September 29th 2022. Over and over I call with no one picking up. I text my husband and ask him to call from his number. Surprise, surprise... they apparently picked up the phone with him. They tell him that they getting the heads back today or tomorrow and there is a valve issue they discovered they ordered the part for. Meanwhile I am still calling and he answers. I don't know that he actually picked up the phone for my husband. He is very gruff with me and tells me to ask my husband about it because he is busy with customers. Well of course Scott. It's not like you have had my car over a month and still committed to the "Getting heads back in the shop" story that apparently only lasts a day so it did not go in on Tuesday or any other the other times I was told it would be done. Don't let customer service and holding my car hostage get in the way of you duping others. Supposedly the new day of completion will be either this Friday or Monday. We shall see.
