I recently dropped off my 2019 Dodge Charger at Thompson Automotive because the steering began feeling stiff and rigid rather than smooth and effortless. Having some automotive knowledge, I figured this was due to the vehicle's power steering system. I didn't know exactly what type of power steering my vehicle had, as there are a few different options, but I knew that my experience driving the car had worsened. After dropping my vehicle off at Thompson Automotive and having it reviewed by one of their mechanics, I was notified that my vehicle didn't have power steering whatsoever, and thus, there was nothing to be fixed. Even the mechanic who inspected my vehicle reassured me as such, saying there would be nothing to do except add power steering to my vehicle. I insisted the steering was smooth until recently, but the mechanic shrugged off my concerns. Unconvinced, I called a friend who is a mechanic and runs servicing for a Dodge dealership. He reassured me that my vehicle does have power steering and informed me of different reasons why my power steering would be failing. With this in mind, I took my vehicle to a local Dodge dealership for another inspection. They notified me that my power steering rack was leaking fluid and that I would need a new rack and pinion. This was expensive but necessary, and upon receiving my vehicle with a replaced rack and pinion, my steering was back to normal. I'm disappointed in the lack of care and service from Thompson Automotive. I drive my car all the time, and my experience should guide the inspection process when diagnosing an issue. When I say that the steering used to be smooth and is now stiff, the mechanic should seek to understand why such a thing is occurring. How would it be that my car doesn't have power steering if I tell you it used to steer smoothly? Instead, my concerns were shrugged off. As a result, I cannot recommend Thompson Automotive to anyone seeking automotive repairs because of their lack of consideration and thoroughness when looking over my vehicle. At least they didn't charge for the time they spent misdiagnosing my vehicle.

Very efficient and timely. I needed to replace brakes on my BMW and I was given the vehicle back same day where as the BMW dealership said they'd need it for two days. Doug did a great job installing my new exhaust. I had him put a Magnaflow on my 4Runner a few years ago and LOVED the result, great sound, more performance, perfect. I am moving and the new neighborhood meant I needed to take some of the "bite" out of the sound on my exhaust. Once again, Doug did a great job replacing my old Magnaflow with a larger one that was more quiet, yet kept the performance in place. Very satisfied, would definitely use again for any exhaust repair/replacement. Bryan

Great company to have work done very honest

I first went to ISA to get my headlights aligned after 3 other shops were unable to make it happen. ISA didn't blink an eye and my lights are no longer a safety hazard. I have had everything done from oil changes to head gaskets to timing belts to tires, all with professionalism and expertise. I am especially pleased that I don't seem to have a "Women in the Shop!" sign on my head when I walk in the door and have never felt taken advantage of or deceived about the work necessary on my car. Their quotes for the work to be done has always been spot on and the customer service provided by both Mason and Todd has always put me at ease and given me the peace of mind necessary when dealing with car repair shops. During my last visit, I was especially appreciative of the loaner car option since this reduced my time off from work. I will always use ISA as my car service shop and highly recommend it to others.

I am so grateful that I have found such a great auto shop to take care of my vehicles. The technicians were thorough, explained everything so I understood, and didn't hide any fees!! (Since most places do that now). Everyone was friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for doing such a great job on my car! Believe me, I will be back anytime I need help with my car!! Brought my car in to have the water pump replaced. Got a call every hour or so for something that would cost more money. Then got THE call. Blown head gasket. Estimate went from $500 up to $2000. I had no signs of a blown head gasket. Compression test was fine, never overheated, ever (not even once), no loss of power, no white smoke. Decided to have them just put it back together so I could get a second opinion. At first they told me it was definitely blown. When I picked it up, the owner said it "possibly had a leak". So, either my car magically regenerated its own head gasket or someone lied to me. Also, I can't prove it, but I'm 90% sure they put oil in my radiator to make me think it was a blown head gasket.

about 1 month ago i took my car to george at full throttle because there was a growling noise under the hood,I was told that it was the power steering pump i paid to have the pump changed and my car was still making the noise,george the owner said to drive the car to see if the noise gets worse so i drove it for about a week and the noise became worse so i took the car back,a pulley had broke and it was to the alternator i paid to have the alternator replaced,the noise went away but the car was making a chirping sound like there was a bunch of birds under the hood,we also noticed that the trunk and gas door would not open,we took the car a 1997 caddilac seville sls to another mechanic and low and behold he discovered the damage that full throttle had done,we have replaced 3 belts on the engine and they all keep shredding,i had the tenisioner replaced also after going to full throttle i have spent 390.00 in parts and labor and the mechanic is still trying to figure out what other damage was done. This is the second incident i have had with george and his fake mechanicsI had a ford expedition that i took there to have the brakes changed my family and i sat in that dank bussiness for 2 hours waiting for the job to be done they never changed my brake pads i went to another place tp have my brakes done about 3 weeks later only to be shown my old brake pads were never changed. beware of this place they are ripping people off and should be closed down they ruined my car and its costing me over 1200.00 that i dont have in repairs
