My wife's 1999 Ford Escort had a problem with its timing belt. We took it to a certain blue and gold auto repair shop on the same street and was told our water pump was to blame. Guess what? The Ford Escorts are designed so that the water pump has no contact whatsoever with the timing belt. We were lied to by that shop. We took our car to Jim Paris instead and got great service. They immediately identified the defective timing belt and honored the warranty on it even though we didn't buy it there. They also repaired some associated issues at no additional charge. I highly recommend Jim Paris and I will go there first next time I need car work done.

Primarily Subaru's, but will work on other cars and trucks too. Because of my 1990 262k Legacy, my husband and I were referred to Joel in 2007. Since then, Alternative Autoworx is the ONLY place we taken our now Forester and Ford F150 to. Finding - and staying with - a great mechanic is like going to the doctor, they keep a record of everything they do so they know about your vehicle. The guys are friendly, knowledgeable, trustworthy and honest about telling you what needs work now and what you should consider down the road. Been very good about quick attention when I've had to tow a car in. Reasonable prices and great service - the Alternative to dealers. (I know it sounds like I work there, or am related, but no)

I recently dropped off my 2019 Dodge Charger at Thompson Automotive because the steering began feeling stiff and rigid rather than smooth and effortless. Having some automotive knowledge, I figured this was due to the vehicle's power steering system. I didn't know exactly what type of power steering my vehicle had, as there are a few different options, but I knew that my experience driving the car had worsened. After dropping my vehicle off at Thompson Automotive and having it reviewed by one of their mechanics, I was notified that my vehicle didn't have power steering whatsoever, and thus, there was nothing to be fixed. Even the mechanic who inspected my vehicle reassured me as such, saying there would be nothing to do except add power steering to my vehicle. I insisted the steering was smooth until recently, but the mechanic shrugged off my concerns. Unconvinced, I called a friend who is a mechanic and runs servicing for a Dodge dealership. He reassured me that my vehicle does have power steering and informed me of different reasons why my power steering would be failing. With this in mind, I took my vehicle to a local Dodge dealership for another inspection. They notified me that my power steering rack was leaking fluid and that I would need a new rack and pinion. This was expensive but necessary, and upon receiving my vehicle with a replaced rack and pinion, my steering was back to normal. I'm disappointed in the lack of care and service from Thompson Automotive. I drive my car all the time, and my experience should guide the inspection process when diagnosing an issue. When I say that the steering used to be smooth and is now stiff, the mechanic should seek to understand why such a thing is occurring. How would it be that my car doesn't have power steering if I tell you it used to steer smoothly? Instead, my concerns were shrugged off. As a result, I cannot recommend Thompson Automotive to anyone seeking automotive repairs because of their lack of consideration and thoroughness when looking over my vehicle. At least they didn't charge for the time they spent misdiagnosing my vehicle.

Most of us don't have a full range mechanic on call. You really should write down this contact. Your car is going to have a problem, perhaps major, and you will will find yourself floundering and knowing what to do. I have found the answer. Urban Autocare in Littleton is the best. You will be treated with fairness and courtesy. They understand this this problem is a big deal for the customer and take it seriously. From the start, communication is timely and easy to understand. The repairs are perfect and they go beyond to take care of you. (I had a loose piece on the front bumper that they saw and fixed up for me.) Easy to talk with and always available to provide info. You'll feel good and will keep and share this lucky find. Michael Thompson

I found the staff and service techs to be very helpful when I brought my vehicle in for it's routine maintenance. I'm not really a car expert (to say the least) and the staff did a thorough review of my vehicle and made me aware of things and future stuff I should watch out for. I appreciated the time they took to try and educate me even though I was just there for an oil change, they went the extra mile and it made a great impression. I'll be back! Mark M Littleton

I took my car into Lowes and had exceptional service by both Chris and Mike. They are extremely honest and very patient in answering questions, etc... They are very knowledgeable, too. I recommended them and their shop to another honest mechanic who is local, so that he could refer his customer for jobs that Lowes might be able to accomodate. Women who are wary of 'car shops' don't need to be with Lowes; very, very honest staff! Thank you...count me as a new customer.

Ima keep this real simple/short Went in for a oils change 2006 Ford Fusion Everything seemed cool but it wasn't. Left was driving down the Interstate on my way to my 4th of July vacation and my car broke down. Took it to Audo Nation Ford because greasy money didn't answer when I called. Then later called me back sayin my engain was blown and the estimated bill was 10,795$ to repair all of the damages. Then went into Grease monkeys and informed Steve Bahl the Manager of the situation. Said he would get right on it. Called him back the next 5 days leaving Messages with other staff members for him to call me. Never did. Finally called the store off a random number Steve himself picks up so I say " hey what's going on" he said there was nothing he could do about it so he would send it off to his insurance. Blah blah blah Anyways eventually called me back 2 days after it was suppose to be reported to his insurance feeding me some story about how his insurance wouldn't take liability and told me himself to simple take them to court. After about calling 30 lawyers in the Denver metro area that all charge $250 a hour I see he played me because the only two option you have is pay 5k for a lawyer and end up not getting your car fixed because the lawyer bill is so much. Or go to small claims court and settle for $7,000 or whatever and still not get your car fixed. Because of this I have lost my job and I'm sure much more is to follow
