I must say, this was not so when I visited Tunxis - it was by far the best experience I have ever had with a mechanic. I was treated fairly and kindly, and the owner was extremely helpful and caring when they replaced my heater. I came to the mechanic with my two year old daughter, and the owner helped me install her car seat in the loaner vehicle. I took the car in on a Friday and the parts weren't available until Monday, but they let me keep the loaner car over the weekend so that I would have heat over the weekend (this was in the winter). They explained in clear terms what repairs were needed and repaired it for a reasonable price. I very highly recommend Tunxis.
