As the Manager at this facility, I would like to take this opportunity to provide some information in regards to the previous post. The above customer came into our facility with two concerns. First, check a no start condition. It was a simple diagnosis, the starter had failed. We replaced the Starter, charged standard book time and the cost of a new, not rebuilt part. We even gave the customer a lifetime warranty on the part and did not charge a diagnostic fee. The second concern was to check a no heat condition. We verified there was no heat, and there was a noise coming from the dashboard area. I explained to Tony, this would require removal of the lower part of the dash board to diagnose and there would be a charge. It could be either an acuator, a blendoor, or even debris causing this condition. Tony declined. All the information was clearly marked on the receipt, in which, Tony had signed. I would be more than happy to repair the no heat condition on his old, high mileage vehicle, but he did not want it repaired due to cost. Mr. JUNIOR GENAO, the sales representative, has helped me tremendously; he was convincing but not pushy. I am very lucky to have been assigned to him because he helped me tremendously in identifying my needs; that after showing me at least 4 cars I have made my decision. He is very pleasant, helpful, patient and considered me a family looking for a car. Mr. Genao is an asset to your company. Mr. PEDRO SOSA, the manager who assisted me, has been very pleasant and patient and explained in details of the warranty I am entitled to and other info. He is approachable in spite of his busy schedule and answered my questions immediately. Also, he made a follow-up call to make sure everything is all right and apologized for my long wait, which I understood due to the busy day. Islip Transmission blows. They must have dropped the flywheel and damaged it before putting it back in, thinking I wouldnt notice, because now my car wount always start. The teeth on my flywheel are damaged, and these guys don't honor their warranties. Oh, and its my fault, so they wont honor the warranties I guess if your dumb enough to give these guys your money, getting screwed should be expected. I'll never go back, and highly reccomend you choose a better shop, Pat & Tommy are crooks.

I was at the shop yesterday (6/8/2015) service is bad and they don't pay attention to their own instructions. Case and Point (1) - Even though they asked me to attached my name and number to my keys during a night drop off, they never called me with any updates on my car. I had to call them 3 times in total and then actually drive to the shop to ask the same question. Case and point (2) - My shift timing Solenoid was the issue they wanted me to purchase a complete B valve unit for ($800 - $1200). I asked why can't the issue be fixed and her response was we do not just fix the single part in question we simply replace the whole unit.... Case and point (3) - They play an interesting game with the transmission fluid taken out of transmission. Based on it being dirty (not red in color), not burnt...stated I needed a new transmission as a result...cost $2200 dollars...do you see a pattern? The Volvo manual states the transmission fluid last for the life of the car, so after 124K miles I would understand the color not being red. Case and point (4) - Getting a receipt was like pulling teeth, I used my credit card to pay ($65.00) and was sent an electronic receipt that didn't state what the cost was for. I had to asked with tone to get a yellow receipt stating what was done. I requested only to drain the old Trans fluid and refill with clean fluid. Case and point (5) - I requested to see the transmission dip stick when done, to verify the transmission fluid levels was correct and the new fluid was red in color. This seen like it was extra, extra work (poor attitudes) for them to show me this simple task. Be careful of this place! Their knowledge is not complete... I was told from 2002 - 2009 all Volvo transmissions were the same, this is not true. Fear is used as a factor in helping one make a decision, not sounded facts.

The guys at Cybert are honest and very easy to deal with. I've had shops in the past play games with me (halogen fluid replacement, etc.), but at Cybert, they brought me out into the shop, showed me what was going on, explained the fix, and then fixed it. There was nothing shady and I never once felt like they were trying to take advantage of me. They have a convenient location, reasonable hours, and surprisingly good coffee while you wait.
