I recommend this company for my friends. Now this company has new owner. He did excellent service and high quality job on car painting. I feel the former owner did not do good job but the new owner did excellent job. My car was repaired 11 years ago. The paint starts peeling off. The paint is life time warranty. The owner was changed meanwhile, so I was not expecting to get the job done. New owner, Wade, is so kind to take the paint job and did finish beautifully. He did not charge any, even it is not his responsibility. I really appreciate for his kindness. Also he gave me a ride when I dropped my car off, and delivered my car to the place I needed. It was wonderful service and I am very happy with what the new owner did for me. Thank you so much, Wade! Yoko

Call ahead if you can. Shamrock has worked on 3 different vehicles for me. most recently repalced wheel bearings on my explorer. rapid service, reasonable price, actually was about $75.00 LESS than i was quoted and expected. the difference in the handling of my vehicle was amazing and noticed within seconds of pulling. the owner (?) is knowledgable and willing to explain what is going on with your vehicle. He has my business and I'd suggest him to anyone I know

I get four cars serviced at J&L for everything and I have never had a reason to question their ethics, honesty, or workmanship. I have found that there pricing has always been fair and they will look for ways to save you money on parts and they never double dip on labor. That is charging you for the same task twice. For instance if you get your timing belt changed you should also replace your water pump. Most placing will look in the book and charge you labor on each task when in reality labor for removing the belt is loaded into both repairs. J&L will not take advantage of that situation. I am not sure what happened with the review above with the oil change but there is no way in my mind that it could have happened the way she says. Sounds more to me about someone looking for a free repair.

Had our truck towed there for a new alternator, picked it up got less then a mile up the street & the check engine light came on & all the radiator fluid was pouring out, they towed us back & fixed the problem, we left again & got just a little further then the 1st time & it started shaking so bad he had to pull over, we took it back AGAIN & they tried to say it was like that when it came in. We were furious that they charged us a 2nd time for the radiator problem & tried to get more money out of us to fix the shaking that had only started after leaving their shop. We took it to another mechanic & he said things were obviously missing that was causing it to shake, things that couldn't just fall off. He also looked at the blown tube that caused the radiator fluid to leak & said it looked like it had been punctured by something. The owner could care less about the whole situation & kept trying to tell us it wasn't their fault & the mechanic was rude!! DO NOT GO THEIR!! WORST SHOP EVER!

Brought car in for annual state inspection and whatever else it might need, including an oil and filter change. That turned out to also include replacing the spark plugs and also flushing the power steering fluid, all items that used to be simple but now add up to $700 on my little 335xi. Oh well, with a long inline 6 hiding the two rear cylinders changing the plugs (necessary every 45k miles) is no picnic I'm sure. It's the price of admission for driving these things. I must add though that keeping up with this stuff is absolutely necessary to keep a Bimmer running like, well, a Bimmer. I swear the car feels like it has 50 more HP; it zings up the tach with what is clearly less effort than before and climbs hills with less pedal position, all because of new plugs and an oil change! Or perhaps it's because Steve Snow sprinkles some of that Bimmerworks magic on the car just for taking it there. Whatever, the car runs great and I know I'm taking it to BMW experts without financing some fancy dealership's latest addition. If you drive a Bimmer, and live within 35 miles of this place, you should seriously consider taking it here for service. -Len Dube
