I'm relatively new in the area, and needed to find a reliable automotive repair and service shop to help me with numerous issues that have been creeping up with my car recently. I had been noticing some issues with my suspensions, alignment, and some strange things happening with my engine, and since I'm not an expert, I needed a shop that would provide honest, friendly, and courteous service and wouldn't try to take me (and my wallet) for a ride. I was pleased when I called Car Port Specialist on a whim and had a pleasant conversation with them over the phone. They were patient with me and didn't talk down to me or make me feel small for not knowing exactly what the problem was. I came in the same day and they did some diagnostic testing, and I didn't even have to pay from the estimate. For me, this was big; other shops I called had no patience for me being unsure about the exact nature of the problem, and would have charged a substantial amount for the estimate. In the end, I was expecting the repairs to be more expensive than they were. Ultimately the engine issue was minimal, and the prices for everything were extremely fair. They were pretty quick with my car, and even gave me a ride home. Diana Spirelli

Chris is the best. My wife was stuck in Orlando while moving our son to school there from Destin. Truck was loaded with stuff and it wouldn't crank. Called Chris and he assured me he would handle it and treat us right. I work on a ship and was in port up north so he was in contact over the phone. He stored the truck overnight in the shop to keep our stuff from getting wet due to thunderstorms. He assessed the issue in the morning and found nothing wrong. Truck ran fine for a day. Next day it happened again. Brought it in again at no charge per Chris and still couldn't find an issue. Truck runs fine now. Must have been a particle lodged in the system I assume. Chris was courteous, honest and only charged us for one hour labor plus the usual tax. I would recommend his shop to anyone. He even called the next day to see that my wife made it home. What shop does that anymore? Thank you Chris!

DO NOT USE IF YOU ARE LGBT+. This mechanic has amazing reviews on google and I have used them in the past with great results. But now that I am using them as a trans woman I can see the way they treat the LGBT+ community. I went for an oil change and got the car back with the splash guard dragging on the ground. They said they’d fix and convinced me to use them for tires and a new rear mirror also. When got it back from that two weeks later. The splash guard had been just removed without replacement and the front splash guard was now dragging. I was charged hundreds more for the tires than quoted and they won’t give me an invoice just a generic receipt. The rear mirror was never touched and was never told for two weeks while they had the car that they couldn’t get the mirror for my car. So over a month I barely had a car, spent over $3,000 and now I am missing a splash guard and the other is broken. Rear mirror is still broken. Only positive is an oil change and nice tires that where probably way over priced. Used this mechanic for 2 cars over 3 years and they have been amazing and the reviews everywhere are amazing. But then I walked in the door at a trans woman and that all changed.

This shop was unable to fix my car from a failed alternator in the day I had it in for repair. Not only were they incapable of finishing the job they suggested substantial amounts of other work to be done, with the recommendation that it was necessary. They wanted to replace a fuse that was "very involved to get to" requiring 4 hours of labor costing upwards of $900. They are looking to rip you off. Don't trust Aaron specifically, he was looking to steal from potential customers.

3-29-2024 I took my 2000 ford Taurus up there and left it for some electrical issues and an ac diagnosis. I left my car there at 9:30 am on Thursday and they did not call me or start work on my car until 1:00pm on Friday. I went up there to get my car since they said on the phone you can come up and get it and I my needed car. The service manager did not even come up and talk with me as to why he didn't even get anything done at his auto place. The manager Will said he had to keep pulling techs off of my vehicle due to other vehicles needed fixed, not really a customer issue. not sure how they have any good reviews must be payed for. They have a appointment tab on their website I used it still did not matter. not sure how they are still in business I would not take my car there again or recommend them at all. I went to Midas on 05/14/2014 to change my brake pads. While there, the repair man told me that my rotors were ruined. I said that they were not and that I wanted them to put my tire back on so that I could get a second opinion. The repair man (who is much bigger than me and who was very aggressive) said no, and that if I don't let them do the work he would make sure to charge me a lot of money for the "diagnostic." I relented, but insisted that I keep my old rotors. I called Midas Corporate immediately after and they sent me to a store in the area that they trusted for second opinions and diagnostics. This store (also a Midas - S. Orange Blossom Trail.) told me that my rotors were fine and in NO WAY needed to be replaced, in fact, the mechanic said that I could probably use them for another 2-3 years before ever having a problem. On top of that, they put the new rotors, and my old tires on incorrectly, pushing my wheels out of alignment and making it so that my traction control could not engage and the mechanic in the new store said that they charged me an extra $50 PER ROTOR and $17 PER BRAKE PAD than what Midas expects. Thank god it did not rain, or I could have been in serious trouble. I have spoken with the store manager, who lies and says he is the owner, multiple times, and eventually got to the owner himself and they refuse to give me a refund, or even acknowledge that there is a problem. Midas cannot force them to give me one since the shop on Alafaya is a franchise (they did fix my tire problem for free, and do all further diagnostics for free, the only one acting unethically is the Midas on Alafaya.) I was forced into buying rotors I did not need through intimidation and erroneous payment threats. Midas caused multiple unrelated brake problems while my car was in their care (the aforementioned unallignment and disengagement of traction control.) They also over charged me for equipment, and labor by much more than the prices set by Midas (as indicated by the mechanic at the second shop.) They are fully aware of the problem and refuse to make it right. They will continue to do this to young girls whom they know do not have the knowledge or confidence to stand up to them. They are scamming people. I will never get my money back, but I AT LEAST want to keep people from going there.

This is by far the worst place you could go to buy tires. My tires are less than a year old and my front tire continues to lose air. I came in at 8 a.m. this morning which is a Saturday to try to get my tire repaired and my tires rotated. I was told they were too busy and asked if I had made an appointment. Quite honestly I never heard of having to make an appointment to get a tire fixed, so I was quite surprised that was even mentioned. I was told that I would have to leave my car there which was impossible since I live in another town and I had no way to leave the car as they suggested so they could "try to get to it later." I also told them that I had to go to an oral surgeon on Monday and didn't know when I would be able to bring the car back in. They did not care one bit and I told them I made the biggest mistake purchasing tires there. Again they could care less. Not long ago I called them to find out what it would cost to change a battery cable on my Honda Accord. Believe it or not I was quoted $650 to just replace a battery cable, so I assume that was because they didn't care to do the work. This morning there were two people waiting and one car in the bay, but they couldn't spend a half an hour on a steady customer. My plan now is to cancel my credit card with Tire Kingdom and in the future, buy my tires elsewhere.

Only 1 star because I can't give none. I'm am 15+ year mechanic, and I needed some tires (that I already had) mounted on my wife's car. I would do it but I don't happen to have that equipment sitting around in my garage. I called in advance and was told $13.99 to mount & balance each tire. It was made clear that this was the total "out-the-door price (incl. tax, etc.) I drove down the next day and was greeted by the on-duty manager. After ringing up a bill for only 2 tires the price was more than double for each. I played along and asked why. He said that I had a TPMS (tire pressure monitor system) and required an extra $20 per tire. I said I dont have TPMS, and he said "Yes you do, clearly you dont know anything about cars." I laughed in his face and drove 1/2 mile to the Tuffy Auto Care up the street, where the price was exactly what they quoted. Tire Kingdom? Crooks. Always have been. Always will be.
