This is a Mom and Pop auto repair shop. Mom, Judy and Pop, Jerry run a well oiled machine here. I am an experienced mechanic and they do all my repairs on my 2012 Odyssey. You need an appointment and it takes a few days to get your car in but the work is spot on. Judy manages the work flow and Jerry does the hands on. Very fair and professional work done on my cars over the past 5 years.

These guys and at Ice Cold Air, S Westshore blvd in Tampa, are really great! I was down from out of town and they took my car in right away, told me what was wrong, and had it fixed in no time, so I can still enjoy my vacation with my family. Juan is great. He understood my situation and had no problem getting my car in. Jeremy the owner works really well with his guys. He was also understanding to my situation. He's a family man himself. I searched everywhere to find someone I could trust. Tons of questions and costs for things to be repaired or replaced. All this was because of a prior visits to another place who just looked at it and told me it needed a new transmission. When I finally contacted Engines and Transmission I felt by just talking to them I was at the place I needed to be. They took the time to answer questions, they picked up my vehicle, they called me at different steps to inform me of what they found. I went from thinking that I was going to have to replace/rebuild my transmission to items that were done in a much faster time and what was really needed. Living on a budget and worried about the cost...........I can not thank them enough for being so helpful, kind and considerate. I will return for checkups on a vehicle I had only had for 5 months and knew nothing about - but now I do. To everyone at Engines and Transmission but especially Ashley, Kate and Jason.. Called Late on a Saturday Night, Came out with in a 1hr, Saved me money on a Tow, got me back and on the road. Honest, Fair pricing and saves me money by coming out to me. I now have them Maintain our Fleet.

When my local discount auto parts store was unable to install their replacement battery in my 2012 Focus, when I asked for a recommendation. Without hesitation they recommended Brothers, touting their honesty, fairness and comoetency. Such a reasonable charge and quick service, I honestly gave them a tip! Just week's later, faced with the 2009Ford Flex AC not working and bizarre behavior before a trip to see family. I was able to find a 3rd party part I suspected was the likely culprit. Ford would have marked it up and it likely would have cost me 2 to 3 times as much. I got the part overnight and to Brothers by noon. By closing time it was fixed and ready for pick up. Read the reviews on Google, I just did. And liked most of them. Any less than stellar review was rare and in my opinion unwarranted. Brothers is aptly named. Although they could easily be called Friends or Family, as it was a joy meeting 3 generations of family. Owner. Son and 6 year okd grandson., I found out just before leaving.

My daughter's truck broke down while at USF and Robert from RJL repaired it quickly for very reasonable cost. I live a few hours from Tampa, so I called him after finding his shop on this website. He even offered to tow her truck if it couldn't make it to the shop. He was honest and only repaired what was broke and did not try to con her into anything more. Thanks Robert, I'll refer all the USF parents I know to your shop from now on.

9/9/17. My daughter trying to decide to leave Tampa got some bad gas and is broke down. I called from Pensacola Fl. and Pernell answered and said he would go see what he can do. I pray for him and my daughter. Time is running out. I wait to hear from him. I pray he can get her car running.

To Ashley Butler of 410 S.Dale Maybry ICE COLD AIR discount auto repair shop. I would just like to say how well she runs her bussiness and cares about her customers. I had a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder with a blown motor so I purchased one from a company that sells used motors and had Ice Cold Air do the installation,The can very goord for a month and then a feantw minnor problems occ likelyured, like an antifreeze leak which Ice Cold Air attemped to fix each time I had the car brought back. Then I had an oil leak which was most likely coming from the rear main seal which meant dropping the transmission which is a big job. So the reason I am writting this retraction is because I bad mouth her shop about not fixing the leaks when the car was brought back which ICE COLD AIR did every time the car was brought back and the oil leak I can ubderstand 10 hours of labor which the manager said if it's the rear main seal he would reimburst me for the labor. When my x-wife brought the car back to ICA cause she saw oil and antifreeze kind of leaking together and the manager tells her she needs to leave the car or it might cause more problems, you leave the car and not say I can't cause I need itthen;s your on your own if something like over heating occures and the motor seizes then it's notthe fault of the repair shop it's your fault. See I didn't know my X bruoght the car back for that problem and she was afraid to call and tell me this or my son and le Coldet my son drive 40 miles the next day I would of told her to leave the car right there and this never would of happened. I’m a property manager for 22+ years and unfortunately a tenant broke a window during a move out. Based on the good online reviews of Glass Doctor of Tampa, I unfortunately hired this horrible rip off company to repair the window. They charged me half of the repair upfront of $150 prior to looking at the job (I provided a photo as requested). The quote was based on replacing a 30x36 window. The technician failed to show as scheduled that morning with no phone call to advise and then another technician was sent out after 4:30 same day and used a lockbox for entry. The incompetent technician replaced an 8x8 section of glass only and used duct tape and lots of glue to secure the window which I followed up on the job next day. I reached out to management who refused to take responsibility and offered a $20 credit and to go back and clean up. Needless to say, they got paid via their free access to my credit card and refuse to charge me only for the job they actually did poorly and not what they quoted upfront. Lesson learned - I do not recommend anyone retaining this rip off company for garbage work!!! I WILL NEVER USE OF REFER GLASS DOCTOR OF TAMPA.....

As a as a former Marine honoring integrity is what us boys stand for! Without being said the two business owners and son are not in this for the money they're in this to help people that's who they are they all have honor and integrity. Pep Boys gave me an estimate to fix the front end in the same manner that one stop gave me an estimate for, Pep Boys estimate 738 dollars one stops estimate 166 dollars. Just to let you know I'm a mechanic and I used to own the shop before I became disabled, I also live in Land O Lakes and I won't bring my car anywhere else and Land O'Lakes is about 30 miles away

Never, please never call this guy Brian Dorcy if you need any mechanic work for your boat. This is the worst, unresponsive, irresponsible and unprofessional mechanic I’ve ever met. I contacted him in February 2022 and requested to fix the engine (water in the oil). He came relatively fast, the next week and found the heads need to be replaced. He ordered new heads and other parts. It took 1 month to get them delivered and 2 more weeks to Brian showed up in my yard. He took the old gasket and found that the block had a crack and needed to be replaced. Why didn't he check this the first time? If he wan’s so negligent and blind and did his job better he could find this issue at the very beginning. It took 2 more weeks to find and order a new block and more than a month to get it delivered to me. I was hoping this “crooked hands master” will come ASAP and finish his work. But he didn’t come this week and next week. He was ignoring my phone calls and messages when I tried to arrange the appointment with him. He is OK to get a new job but is always so busy finishing it. I’ve been waiting for him for more than 2 month and then I said I don’t want to wait any more and I asked him to bring a block to me. He ignored me again for a week. The only one way it worked was to push him to bring me a $2K block to say that on Tuesday I will report to the Police. And he finally brought it to me at the end of July!!!!. I’ve been waiting for 6 month and at the end I got an unfixed boat and half a garage of parts. When I googled for reviews I found that this is his normal way of business. His rating is * 1 Star. I will be happy if you read this review and won’t call this deceiver - this will save you a few months of your time and a lot of your nerves. Please spend 1 more hour and google - there are many really talented professional mechanics with hundreds of reviews and 4.8-4.9 rating. Don’t give your job to losers and scammers!

I had a very similar experience as Ed listed above. During the estimate process, everything was discussed and would be taken car of. When I picked up the car, there were still some obvious spots that we not touched and others that didn't look good. They took it to the back and brought it up front 15 minutes later. It looked a little better, but still not what was discussed or expected. Upon being questioned about these items, the staff as well as the owner were overly defensive, condescending, and rude. Over promised and under delivered, very unprofessional atmosphere. Would never go back for any reason.

I described the problem with my car and after a few hours they said they determined a part needed to be replaced. After that part was replaced my problem was still present and they refused to refund my money or correct the issue.

I was in a car accident (an individual slammed into the drivers side of my car) and so his insurance company (progressive) sent me to Impex. I should have know from my initial experience with this place that it was not going to be a good one but I went ahead anyway because of the reviews, I wanted my car fixed ASAP, and because my adjuster stated this is where he get his car fixed. When I went to pick up my car it looked externally fixed (ok ), however when I drove it just a few feet my tire pressure light went on. I immediately turned around and went back to Impex and they put air in my tires. I thought it was the end of it. For the past month I have had to go 2x per week to put air in my tires. The back rear tire on the drivers side where my car was hit. I called them several times and Julio keep making excesses and not wanting to fix what they did to my car. He keep saying that I must have done it when i drove it the few feet I did -- What?!! I did it really. Full of excuses and little to no solutions-not only that I am unable to make a U turns without my steering wheel locking and my car making this awful squeal. This is the most DISHONEST and UNDER HANDED place I've ever been to. I don't know if the other reviews are paid because my experience was not a 5 star experience, it wasn't even a half star. I WILL NEVER EVER REFER ANYONE HERE

Company refuses to honor it's warranty. Their mechanic improperly installed a transmission and they charged to fix his errors. I recently brought in a friend's Nissan Altima to have the transmission replaced and had it charged to my AAMCO Credit Card account. After picking the picking up the auto, the starter made a grinding noise when attempting to start the vehicle. Believing this to be a separate problem I took it to my regular mechanic. He stated that the problem was the screw in the transmission mounting was improperly installed and was causing damage to the starter. We had the car towed to their shop. The manager "Charlie" informed us that since another mechanic looked at the vehicle they would not honor the warranty. This is unacceptable because without having a third party inspect the vehicle how would they be found at fault. It is all around bad business to allow your employees to perform substandard work, and even worse practice not to fix the problem when it does occur.I currently have an open complaint with the better business bureau about the matter.
