BEST DEAL AND SERVICE I EVER GOT. GREAT PEOPLE!!!

I took my 97 Saturn to Earl's because of the automatic transmission not shifting into gear. I requested a used transmission put in. The first one they got from the junk yard was cracked and leaked fluid and had to be replaced. When I finally got it a week later, $1100 later, the car now doesn't shift into reverse easily so I took it back. Its under a 90 day warranty on parts only. They put in the valve from the cracked transmission and gave it back 3 days later saying it SEEMS better. After driving it for a day, it is still having reverse problems. Now they have to check with the junk yard to see if they can get another one and call back tomorrow. I feel I am getting the run around and they just don't want to fix it properly. If I wasn't already $1100 in the hole with them I would take it somewhere else.

Brought Chevy Astro van in on April 6th after having another shop install an electric fuel pump. Upon leaving the other shop the vehicle stalled a number of times creating a very dangerous traffic situation. The van did need a fuel pump but after the other shop completed the work the problems really started only after leaving and going a few blocks. I had managed to pull over and call them (at 4:45pm) and was told they could do nothing but told me of Walt's. Being only a few blocks from the shop I managed to get the van there where I was told they would check it out the next day. They contacted me prior to closing at 12:00pm and said it was more serious than first thought. After a series of tests etc. it was deter- mined I had not only a computer problem but injector and alternator issues. Long story short, they fixed everything and got the vehicle back better than new and even made an "adjustment" on my bill to offset the time it took to get it right. I WENT TO A SALVAGE YARD IN DAYTONA FOR THESE SPRINGS. FOR 2 DAYS THEY JERKED ME AROUND. THEY WANTED $75.00 EACH. USED ! MY LAST TRIP THERE AFTER 120MI OF TRAVEL (TWICE) THEY WEREN'T OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THEY SAID IT WAS A COMMUNICATION PROBLEM ? THEY WOULD GET THEM OFF AND CALL WHEN READY, AGAIN. MY REPLY WAS "FORGET IT I'LL GET THEM ON LINE". SO I WASTED 2 DAYS AND 6 GAL OF GAS. I WENT HOME AND GOT ON MY COMPUTER AND FOUND S.D.TRUCK SPRINGS. I PLACED MY ORDER AND GOT THE SPRINGS IN 3 DAYS BRAND NEW $75.00 EACH + ($56.00 SHIPPING) W/BUSHINGS ALREADY TO GO. THAT WAS A GOOD LESSON FOR ME AND MY FRIENDS. I'M EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE AND THANKS AGAIN. I'M FORWARDING A COPY OF THIS LETTER TO THE SCRAPYARD ALSO. THEY'LL REMEMBER ME AND THE PERSON WHO RECOMMENDED ME TOO. DO NOT RECOMMEND TROPICAL AUTO AIR!! Please avoid this business at all cost. The owner is arrogant and only cares about robbing his customers on their first visit. He couldn't care less if he gets repeat business. He charged me $300 to replace parts that weren't even damaged, and then was not willing to be fair about solving the problem when the A/C went out again 2 weeks after his repairs. Horrible!!!
