Our son was driving from St Paul to his college in Dallas when he started having car trouble on our Volvo S80. Thankfully, he made it to a hotel in a suburb of Des Moines, IA and started searching for a repair shop with the hope that the car could be fixed the next day. Tuffy in Ankeny was able to fit him in for an appointment, did a very thorough review of the problem, did a lot of troubleshooting and even connected with our mechanic in St Paul to review the recent history of the car. My son said that all the employees in the shop made "a college age kid as comfortable as possible" during his first experience with car trouble on a cross country trip. After several hours in the shop, they fixed the car and my son was on the road again. He finished his 14 hour trip with no other issues. Thanks so much Tuffy! We will be forever thankful. And will use your shop again if we happen to need it as we drive through Des Moines!

The receptionist was horrible. I asked for a U Haul which the website said they had, She looked at me and said "Good Luck". I'm not impressed that they would let someone with no people skills talk to all of their customers. I will never return to this shop just because of the receptionist. I hope she's worth all the sales they'll lose because of her bad attitude.

Very, very rude service department employees. And there is no point in going to the supervisor, he's the worst! They went over the amount I authorized when I dropped my car off for service. They then told us to "never come back" after we demanded they stick to the authorized amount. The service guy practically threw a tantrum when he had to redo the paperwork for the CORRECT amount, meanwhile the supervisor was sitting at his desk making snarky comments under his breath. After we paid, my husband asked for my keys and the supervisor began to question whether our credit card was declined, it wasn't of course. He apparently just felt the need to demean and belittle his customers before granting us the privilege of posession of our own vehicle. I have never experienced such rude behaviour at any business, ever. I highly recommend avoiding this place at ALL costs. They will overcharge you and act like YOU should be thanking THEM
