Car repair
Our son was driving from St Paul to his college in Dallas when he started having car trouble on our Volvo S80. Thankfully, he made it to a hotel in a suburb of Des Moines, IA and started searching for a repair shop with the hope that the car could be fixed the next day. Tuffy in Ankeny was able to fit him in for an appointment, did a very thorough review of the problem, did a lot of troubleshooting and even connected with our mechanic in St Paul to review the recent history of the car. My son said that all the employees in the shop made "a college age kid as comfortable as possible" during his first experience with car trouble on a cross country trip. After several hours in the shop, they fixed the car and my son was on the road again. He finished his 14 hour trip with no other issues. Thanks so much Tuffy! We will be forever thankful. And will use your shop again if we happen to need it as we drive through Des Moines!

They diagnosed the problem, ordered and received the part, and had me on the road within an hour. Great experience.

Joel and crew performed at the level to which we've become accustomed - 5 star service! We've always been pleased with our service from Ankeny Tuffy and this time was no different. They take pride in their work and in doing what is best for their customers. There was an error on our bill, which we wouldn't have caught, but James, the manager, caught the error and fixed it immediately. Good, honest service with a smile - what more could you ask for?

Great Communication and Great Shop
They were extremely good to work with and quite accommodating. Most importantly they were very up front with explaining/showing me the issues in a clear way. Good to have confidence in what someone is telling you. Absolutely recommend them. Brent Sharon
