Picked up a coupon from Groupon that included free oil changes. I went in expecting to be met with a cold shoulder and a hurry-up-and-get-this-guy-out-of-here feeling. I was wrong. I came in and was greeted right away by the owner himself. While I was waiting on my car to receive an oil change the owner sat with my girlfriend and I for a good 15 minutes talking to us and making sure everything was going well while explaining his business and passion for good service. The oil change was done in a timely manner and everything went smoothly. There was not even a hint of upselling and I never felt uncomfortable while there. I live in Schaumburg and this is a little bit of a drive just for an oil change but now that I have been there once I don't think I will go anywhere else for future service of my vehicle. The entire management and floor team there were very professional and friendly. It is also located in an easily accessible location and well-kept neighborhood. I am going back this Saturday for another oil change and I look forward to speaking with the owner again to let him know what I think of his business. As a new resident to Illinois I am happy to know I have found a trustworthy auto business.

Hands DOWN the best service in town. They are honest, and always do everything to accomidate me. They support my older car nd give me real options on how to proceed when I need to choose the best repair options. I can't say enough good things about the Great service they offer every time I am in. Paul has always helped me and they work hard to get me in and out quickly with a loaner car option (I dont even see that with the dealer any more)! You won't be sorry you called them.

This is a very convenient location for me,and my family has used Frank's for years. The service is great and the prices are always on point. I really like being able to drop off my car, then walk across the street and catch the metra into work.

I also had a bad experience. Had a bad amp, was given 2 choices, repair the amp I had, or replace it with an exact amp, except is was slightly less powerful. I chose to go with the new amp, and it sounded horrible. Really got the run around trying to either get it to sound good, or to return it. It was a very cheap amp ($130), and the attitude, and resistance i got from them i don't think was worth them getting upset about. They still made money on the diagnosis of my problem, and the install fees. I imagine their profit on the cheap amp was minimal, and there bad attitudes were unnecessary. They gave me back my old amp, and lied to me about sending it in for repair, the amp needs to be sent in through a dealer, and they lied and said that dealers could not send it in. Never again will I support a small business without a lot of research. Too bad, I really wanted to help out a small business.

I just wanted to thanks these guys as a whole. I brought my SAAB in for an oil service. I spoke to the tall service manager. He was helpful and explained I had 3 open recalls on my SAAB then one is related to my seat belts. This is why I always like going back to the dealership to have my SAAB repairs completed. I had purchased a groupon ($149) for front and rear brakes 3 weeks ago. He texts me saying that I would also need to replace the rotors. I was a little hesitant and should have listened to my gut but I went ahead go the rotors replaced for $265. Then he sends me pictures saying that I need to replace my ball joints. I said another time. Fast forward to one week later and I am hearing a squeaking noise. He says give it some time to adjust and that most likely it is my parking brakes. I called another mechanic and inquired about this and he informs me that the parking brake could and should have been done with the original brake/rotor replacement and it would have been cheaper as Landspeed wants to charge me $180. I gave it two weeks and the noise progressed. When I brought it in he took it for a test drive and tells me that he is going to replace the rotors and brakes again as well as the job on the parking brakes. I ask why and he tells me because of needing the parking brake. Well, two days later I hear another squeaking noise and grinding noise. I thought it was because of the ball joints he stated I needed to replace. So, I again contacted the other mechanic and brought it in. He takes a look at my car and takes it for test drive and lets me know that the balljoints are perfect, NO NEED TO REPLACE THEM. Then this is the worst part, he tells me that the brake job that Landspeed did was done extremely poorly as well as the brakes and rotors were warped. I gasped considering that I just replaced them three weeks ago. I took pictures and everything and now have to replace the rotors and brakes in the front. I am so upset because as much as I would want to go back and make him do the job over again, that is not going to happen.
