First of all, if I could give Murphy's 0 stars I would. Until 2018, I had received pretty good service from Murphy's. Had spent thousands of $ for car repairs on 2 older cars. On my '99 Durango, I had recently developed a coolant leak. Was using about 2 qts of coolant every 60 miles. Was getting a sweet anti freeze smell inside the car and noticed some coolant on the garage floor. Went back to them because they had previously replaced both hoses and the radiator. Figured that if they failed I might be covered by "warranty" or "good will". Needless to say, Chris called me and told me that the lower hose was leaking. They had replaced it, the first time, on 06-15-17. Second time failed on the Dan Ryan Expy in 90 heat. 2nd time was 06-23-17 with 92413 miles. Had to have it towed to Murphy's. Now, on 02-21-19, with 101762 miles, Chris told me that it was leaking because it had rubbed against the frame of the vehicle and a hole had worn thru. I asked him if the hose had moved and he said no. He said the repair would cost $189.46 parts and labor. He couldn't do anything about the price because it was "out of warranty". I told him the mechanic should have noticed that the hose was making contact with the frame or very close to it. He didn't say anything. He said they replaced the old Dayco brand hose with Gates brand that was bent better. I contend that I should NOT HAVE PAID ANYTHING for the repair because A. They were not conscientious when they replaced the hose the 2nd time and should have seen the frame contact or close to frame, and B. Warranty or not, hoses do not fail in 9349 miles. If I had known how this was going to turn out, I wold have never gone back to Murphy's. Thus I will never darken their doors again and recommend that nobody else does either. I asked a friend who is a mechanic/repair shop owner in Orland Park about this and I will not say what he said about Murphuy's. Orland Park is too far to go to from western burbs. Originally I offered Chris to maybe go 50/50 on this but he refused to budge. I am so aggravated about this and mistreatment of a long time customer I am now seeking 100% reimbursement of the $179.46 I paid.

Since their technician did such a good job with my 2005 BMW X3 over the summer, I decided to bring my 2010 Acura TL to change out all fluids, and replace brakes and suspension all around. The total bill was about a third less than what I was quoted from my dealer and 20% less than Firestone and Pep Boys. I'd recommend these folks to anyone who owns a foreign vehicle which is no longer covered by warranty. Forget the HIGH cost of dealerships, and come to Mobile Auto Tech.

I just wanted to thanks these guys as a whole. I brought my SAAB in for an oil service. I spoke to the tall service manager. He was helpful and explained I had 3 open recalls on my SAAB then one is related to my seat belts. This is why I always like going back to the dealership to have my SAAB repairs completed. I had my car towed and alternator done in February. Fast, efficient, great service. They told me about my bearing (which I already knew), but also said I didn't have to get it done right away. I could drive on it a few more months. And I did. Just went back in May 15th 2012 for my muffler. It had rusted and the pipe split in half. They fixed it, my bearing, and an oil change for $220. The bearing alone, I had been quoted $250 every place I had called. Took 3 hours. They started work on my car right away and a great warranty. I love this shop.

I had the transmission go out on my ford five hundred. Ford quoted me over $9000 for a new CVT transmission. I searched around for several weeks and decided to use Dugan's Transmission after getting their name from Certified Transmission. I was beyond impressed with the customer service and quality workmanship. As a female in Chicago without my husband I didn't feel that they tried to one over me by any means. They were honest about all the processes and very understanding about the need to save as much money as possible. Jim Dugan was very straightforward about everything as well as being very knowledgeable about my specific CVT transmission. Overall I felt the service I received here was above par and highly recommend anyone who needs car work done to have it done here.

I failed the Illinois Emission Test. I took my Bentley to a performance shop to be repaired. They quoted me $3,927.00 to replace the catalytic converter. I call Bentley Gold Coast and spoke to the service manager and explained my situation. He said no problem that component is covered by a 8 year / 80,000 mile warranty. He sent a flat bed and picked up my Bentley and installed the catalytic converter - all done at no charge. I had my Bentley back in 2 days. I recommend them to everyone I know. I own a 2005 gmc sierra 2500 in which i use for work and really beat the hell out of. Last Year i was having shifting issues i took it to New Star and the provided a very professional service and modified my trans to handle heavy duty loads since the its been running great and has not given me a problem ever since it came out of there....

Hollywood has reasonable prices, plus the staff is super helpful. Joe and his guys do a great job of serving cars. Plus, they have a full auto parts store attached to the garage, so you know they're going to have a part when you need it. Not only is the staff super helpful but they are also quick and pay attention to detail. A winning combo. You can't go wrong with Hollywood Auto!

I have known the professionals at European Auto House for years (2004) after being referred to them through another trusted individual. I have found them to be the most straight forward and reliable mechanics that I have ever dealt with for any make of auto repair (foreign or domestic).

WORST DEALER EVER. BOUNCH OF LIERS. I bough a truck here, I was promise all mechanical issues will be fixed. never did anything. the "general manager"? is a joke. The "owner"? he will come to you and assure everything will be fine just to gain your trust, and once you sign you are F#$%. I'd spent around 3000 fixing what their "mechanic" could not fix. By the way, the comment above from "sofia" I'm glad they fix you engine light, probably they disconnected. I saw this guy working, regular people. They have the knowledge needed to change a tire. I witnesses many people complaining about the poor mechanical condition of the car they bought, the sales guys specially the "general manger in sales" just ignore them. I wish I could sue this liars, but I spent my money fixing my truck.

I had purchased a groupon ($149) for front and rear brakes 3 weeks ago. He texts me saying that I would also need to replace the rotors. I was a little hesitant and should have listened to my gut but I went ahead go the rotors replaced for $265. Then he sends me pictures saying that I need to replace my ball joints. I said another time. Fast forward to one week later and I am hearing a squeaking noise. He says give it some time to adjust and that most likely it is my parking brakes. I called another mechanic and inquired about this and he informs me that the parking brake could and should have been done with the original brake/rotor replacement and it would have been cheaper as Landspeed wants to charge me $180. I gave it two weeks and the noise progressed. When I brought it in he took it for a test drive and tells me that he is going to replace the rotors and brakes again as well as the job on the parking brakes. I ask why and he tells me because of needing the parking brake. Well, two days later I hear another squeaking noise and grinding noise. I thought it was because of the ball joints he stated I needed to replace. So, I again contacted the other mechanic and brought it in. He takes a look at my car and takes it for test drive and lets me know that the balljoints are perfect, NO NEED TO REPLACE THEM. Then this is the worst part, he tells me that the brake job that Landspeed did was done extremely poorly as well as the brakes and rotors were warped. I gasped considering that I just replaced them three weeks ago. I took pictures and everything and now have to replace the rotors and brakes in the front. I am so upset because as much as I would want to go back and make him do the job over again, that is not going to happen.

Dropped car off In May paid $2000. For a transmission repair. It is now November and they still have my car. Alex lied over and over about waiting for parts, bad battery (which was brand new), broken lift, family member Illiness, etc.... or ignored calls. He basically stole my car And money
