I brought my car for an evap code. When I came in I was told I owed $125.00 for diagnosing a cat code. I have been aware for over a year that I needed a cat. When I reminded him that I brought the car in for the evap code, not the PO420 code. he said that if the cat code shows up that he HAD to a diagnostic on it. What?? I always had a good relationship with the Rockdale shop, but after this visit I feel cheated . Very unhappy!

I went in for an oil change and once I got home I noticed my tire pressure was still low and none of the fluids were replenished. This didn’t particularly upset me, mistakes happen I completely understand. What upset me was that when I called back, I told Mike my situation and he responded “well how do you know they didn’t fill the air and fluid?” in a very sarcastic and demeaning manner. Obviously, if the tire pressure light is on and there is no windshield wiper fluid right after the service, they didn’t do it. As a younger woman who is unfamiliar with the ins and outs of cars, this left a bad taste in my mouth because I’m sure an older male familiar with vehicle maintenance wouldn’t have been treated like this. In addition, they automatically assumed I wanted to most expensive oil change. I never authorized this nor do I usually get the most expensive one. I used to be a repeat customer but at this point I’ve lost all trust in this business. Although, I will say that James is always very helpful with any and all questions I may have.

I don't know why I chose Schaumburg Automedics to service my car when I first moved to Chicago 20+ years ago, but I am really glad I did. They have kept my various old cars running much longer than I would have expected. I was thinking about junking my car after this last service, but the SA Team did such a fantastic job the car drives better than when it was new (to me). I had several idiot lights on my dash and thought I had no ABS of VSA because the lights were on. The guys working on something else noticed some frayed wires along the firewall from some rodent or something. Now ALL the dashboard lights are off. They also fixed some extra things I didn't ask for and didn't notice till I got home. AAA Stands for quality service. AAA never hung a sign on a shop as good as Schaumburg Automedics. The staff at Awesome are a very friendly, fair and honest group. Sitting on the fence of keeping or getting rid of my 90s Toyota that I enjoy driving to this day, I decided to get a quote from them based on recommendations about their very competitive pricing, customer service, and my preference to support small business. The car had a massive oil leak, so I knew it would be costly. They took great care in finding all of the potential leaks and changed the timing belt for an excellent price that wasn't as bad as I had thought. The car now is running great , fun to drive again, and holds off car payments for what I hope to be a long time. Thank you Awesome Automotive.

I brought my car in for a diagnostic and they gave me over a quote for over $3,000 in repairs. I took it down the street for a 2nd opinion and half the things they said were wrong was a lie. Had my car repaired where I got thr and opinion for less than 1k. It's been 6 months and not a single problem. A dealership and repair shop run by conmen. Color me surprised (NOT)
