I have a 2001 DAKOTA THAT WAS LOSING POWER TO THE POINT IT WOULD ONLY GO 5 MPH AT THE BEST. i HAD IT TOWED TO A SHOP WHERE THEY SAID IT WAS FUEL PUMP AFTER I DESCRIBED THE PROBLEM AND SYMPTOMS THAT OCCURRED GETTING TO THE 5MPG. RANDY SAID THAT HE DOUBTED IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP AND IF I COULD GET IT THERE HE WOULD LOOK AT IT THAT IT WAS MOST LIKELY THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER HAD CLOGGED UP. i HAD IT TOWED THE 150 MILES TO HIS NEW LOCATION AND HE LOOKED AT IT THE NEXT DAY. hE HAD TO REPLACE A CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND AN O2 SENSOR. IT RAN ME LIKE 150 DOLLARS I HAD CALLED AROUND TO SEE WHAT THEY WOULD CHARGE. THE OTHER SHOPS WERE WAY OVER 200IN FACT ONE WANTED 400 AND IT WAS GOING TO TAKE THEM A WEEK TO GET TO IT. I DRIVE OVER 60 MILES(ONE WAY)TO HAVE HIM WORK ON MY TRUCK ND OTHER AUTOS. . I HAVE USED RPM's FOR OVER 6-7 YEARS. I HAVE ALWAYS RECEIVED PROFESSIONAL SERVICE AT WHAT CAN ONLY BE CALLED A VERY Fair price.
