Engine repair service near Palatine, IL

Awful place. I brought my car there because the front driver's side wheel was making a scraping sound. The owner Bill went on a ride with me so he could hear the sound, which he did and had an idea of what it could be. I brought the car back during my scheduled time, which after waiting for about 4 hours after I dropped it off that they can't figure out what is wrong with it, saying there seems to be nothing wrong with the "rear: tires. They spent 4 hours looking at the wrong end of the car. I told them and the owner knew that it was the front driver side. After 3 more hours after the phone call I go there to see what is going on to find my car outside, not even being looked at. And no phone call giving me any more information on it. The girl at the front desk said it "must be my brakes" and I should get a certain kind to fix the issues. The brakes are BRAND NEW CERAMIC BRAKES, not cheap metallic ones. It's not the brakes. Then she said it must be the rotors because they had some wear on them. Please you have no idea what it is and the owner decided to go home a few hours after they opened. Poor Communication. Lastly, I took my car home to find grease all over the driver side interior door and a large scratch right in the doorway (freshly scratched). The grease has been a pain to get off and the scratch is down to the metal. I have photos to post as well. POOR SERVICE.

Dont trust these guys. They told me they were putting original manufactured parts but my new mechanic shows me they were aftermarket. I have my receipt and it says OEM. What a lie. Forget this shop!!!

Since their technician did such a good job with my 2005 BMW X3 over the summer, I decided to bring my 2010 Acura TL to change out all fluids, and replace brakes and suspension all around. The total bill was about a third less than what I was quoted from my dealer and 20% less than Firestone and Pep Boys. I'd recommend these folks to anyone who owns a foreign vehicle which is no longer covered by warranty. Forget the HIGH cost of dealerships, and come to Mobile Auto Tech.

I had a terrible experience dealing with this company. I will be sure to call the Illinois Commerce Commision at 1-800-524-0795 to file a complaint and may possibly take my case to small claims court. Dan is the man. He is one of the guys you see first and he is always smiling. He is very nice as well as very knowledgeable in the automotive industry. He won't try to sell you something you don't need. Very fast oil change and I got a text from them when it was all ready. Go here for a hassle free job. Highly recommend this place.
