I found the cause while waiting for service truck. The wire inches above the tps assembly was worn through at the steel bracket. Covered the wire, no more loss of acceleration. Truck City should be called Parts Changers of Gary IN.

I purchased a starter for my mercedes truck after serveral online searches i spoke with joe & he assured me that the smart starter is the way to go. i read the online reviews of the company & they had a good rep. i dropped my vehicle off & my ride fell through, so Joe offered me a ride to work.
