Engine repair service near Chalmette, LA

I don't doubt the mechanic. He answered all questions honestly and competently. I was shopping around and asked another shop specializing in German cars and he gave me the book hours. This was reasonably within limit of what the mechanic of German Auto stated. But when it was time for the bill, I find that the man hour billed was on the very high extreme of what the book hour stated. And when I asked him about this "pipe rerouting" that the mechanic told me was just lifting a series of pipe higher because it was scraping the concrete, he said he had "forgotten" that the mechanic had reduced the hour needed. Really? from 1.6 hrs to 1.0 hr to lift a few tubes a few inches higher? This is also not "rerouting" as he told me over the phone. The owner after I caught this, quickly told his secretary that he was going to take an early lunch. I can tell you that this is the LAST time anyone I know will be bringing a car to this shop. Its not because of the mechanic. He was actually the reason why I was fine w/ leaving my car there initially. The owner is untrustworthy, and if my car wasn't already worked when I started dealing w/ this owner, I would've switched shop immediately.

I need a new timing belt replaced on my car , mr.roberto came out then next day and got my vehicle up and running! Place a new timing belt within 2 hours . HE FAST , FRIENDLY , & is REASONABLE WITH HOS PRICES ! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RIQ AUTO REPAIR! My new mechanic

Jimmy is the owner, his father was Jerry since has passed..Has been in VW repair business for over 40 years....He was a pleasure to deal with, and an expert mechanic on vintage VW's! Honest, and trustworthy...Replaced shorted harness, headlamp switch, fuse buss bar, with OEM Volkswagon parts! In addition, replaced a leaking gasket exhaust gasket...Job took about a day to complete, and final price was very reasonable. Jimmy is a good guy!

The only place in New Orleans that actually knows the older Porsches, Randy started working for his father as a young teenager. He can fix problems with the older cars that others won't even touch. I have never been disappointed in the service, and I can 100% tell you that fixing cars is exactly what they do- Greff is a reliable German car specialist who treats every car like his own.... if anyone says differently they apparently haven't been there.

This place a rip off before changing the tires the front end man and the tire changer checked the front to see if something was wrong, at which time the tire changer then removed the tire for the new ones. After a while I inquired when was the front end alaignment was to begin when I was told waiting on a price for parts as to my surprise, yes another over $1000.00 when I should have been told before tire new tires was put on, so now I have tires on my truck but still needs rack and pinion for no alaignment so the tires will not be warrantied if something happens total rip off never recommend them are go there.
