Horrible Service. Originally I told them my car is making a noise and I had just had my rotors and brakes done. It was clearly metal rubbing together. Simple thing to check but because I'm a women they attempted to take advantage of me. They tried to tell me my brakes were cheap until I said I got them from the dealership. They tried to tell me I need a part replaced that I don't. I waited for an hour and was never told what they were going to do or how much it was going to be. I only asked that he tell me what the noise was. After an hour and having the owner in the office with me and then slip away, without a word. The mechanic says it sounds better, I was told to charge you x amount of dollars. But they didn't do ANYTHING! I called the owner and all he could say was it's for what they did but couldn't say what they did. I refused to pay and surely as a drove away my car was just as loud as when I came in. Total waste of time. A bunch of snakes.

My MB needed a tuning belt replacement and I emailed Dave and setup an appointment. Upon arrival I was given an estimate of the time. I left for work and in exact time I got a message that my car's tuning belt was replaced. Dave, bob and their team deserve all the credit for their professional and friendly service.

Very pleased I was kept informed of all the works that needed to be done my carwas returned to me as promised and very cleaned thanks for your service I will recommend you to my friends

These people are wonderful to work with. They don't cut corners but put my priority - safety - always first. They explain everything clearly and are very detailed and professional with all inspections, maintenance and repairs. Best maintenance shop I have ever been to. Great experience. The owner has been servicing my car for about 15 years. Unless it was an absolute emergency and he was unavailable, I wouldn't let anyone else touch my car. He does a great and conscientious job, on time, for a reasonable price, and more than once has saved me significant money. As an example, I recently took my car to the dealer to have a malfunctioning (and wide-open) window repaired. (This is a case where it was an emergency and he wasn't available!) The repair cost hundreds of dollars. 5 weeks later the repair failed, and the dealer told me their repair didn't fail; it was actually a NEW issue that would cost me another big pile of money to fix. No thanks, I said and headed to S&W. Turns out the problem was a loose connection, an easy fix. S&W saved me $400! No question about it: I'd sent any and all of my friends to S&W to get their cars serviced. Dana S. Braintree, MA

Make sure to take physical pictures of everything that is broken or needs repair that you’re already aware of, prior to bringing your vehicle into this shop. They will exploit those damaged/failing parts and cause further damage to them. It seems to be part of a ploy to generate revenue for their shop because they will then try to get you to make the repairs there. Don’t expect any accountability either…. They seem to have temporary amnesia when confronted about damage that they were clearly responsible for. Alan Symmes and company - stop believing that each customer that steps foot in your shop, is as naïve as you paint them to be. These are the types of mechanics that will pull the bait and switch on you, if presented with the opportunity…. You know, replacing your new parts in working condition with used/failing parts to swindle honest customers out of their own money.

So sad , motor in my Subaru died! Had it sitting in a " Foreign Car Repair Shop" who said they could do it. 3 weeks later its still sitting there untouched! Found these guys through Click & Clack. It wasn't cheap but I suppose an engine replacement never is. They did a great job and even loaned me a car while it was tied up. Glad I found um & my boyfriend is going to start using them for his Lexus!

Our family has been taking our cars to Shell in the Square for years now, both for minor, expected, and unexpected repairs. We rely on the staff's judgement on our old car and have gotten excellent advice, timely repairs and are well satisfied with their service.

Went in to get a headlight fixed for a ticket and made an appointment for the following morning. We decided to drop the car off and uber back after dinner and while finishing up we received a call from Bill who told us he already took care of the light and we were able to drive home only an hour after dropping it off. Very friendly staff and very appreciative of the quick service that was provided...... Thank you guys!!!!!!!!
